This POS was great, easy to use and you can syncronized to other cloud system inventory. Features and function are supply great actually for low-medium restaurant capacity.
After i complain the shut down the system and refuse to give me the information i needed to do payroll and tip calculation.
Customer service is always nice and helpful, stays on the phone, and then follows up afterward. Like the control panel and reporting.
Things go wrong, the printer drops offline a lot and needs help getting back. Sometimes its the wifi that reconfigures to a different wifi, sometimes the printer just randomly stops working.
Technical support has been great too. I love the backend real time reports and how easy it was to set up and change menu items.
Multiple price increases with no communication.
Lavu is a great POS system at an affordable price, systems like the one I have would have cost me double or triple of what I paid.
Have tried to cancel for 5 months, multiple emails, cases, conversations and promises to cancel, just got our 4th email this week that they can't process our card.
Kitchen Cut is technically excellent and so easy to use in comparison to the other systems I've used. The support is really good, Quick, friendly and helpful.
Some of the reports are not so easy to understand what they are actually trying to tell you, and there is a severe lack of guidance videos for these features and their real world applications.
The ability to ensure uniform quality on our popular dishes whilst keeping within our food budget is fantastic.
The confirmation emails are really confusing and if something is not available you don't know about it just on the day when you expect the delivery to arrive.
We are in the very early stages but already we have seen areas that we have focused on and the turn around is just amazing.
All seems good only thing i found, suppliers all failed to complete product sheets so showed errors, think we need a fool proof way to update data otherwise a big problem.
I am looking forward to upgrading soon as the increased functionality will help us analyse and control our profits and systems as well helping with training.
The reporting side and stock takes are not the easiest to fathom, nor is receipting invoices.
Sean D.: Hi, I'm Sean, bar lead. I give Lavu POS a four star rating. For more reviews like this, click below. In the past, I am familiar with Toast POS, Aloha POS. The primary reason that I was unable to keep using those in my professional career, mostly it was associated with cost. A few other things as far as licensing between bars and we just found that Lavu POS was a better solution for us overall. We chose Lavu, for one, because the interface was super easy to use. Training new staff, as it's a high turnover industry was a lot easier with the new system. And another big factor that played into it was cost. Moving from one of the bigger box POS's to something that was a little bit more manageable for us. And that easier integration was definitely a benefit. Getting started with POS Lavu was actually really simple. We had a lot of support from their staff. Anything from configuring menus to new user training and just getting our systems in place for running our nightly reports was a... it was a big benefit to have their support staff behind us the whole time. For anybody thinking about switching to POS Lavu, my best recommendation would actually be to just reach out to their sales team. They can give you a lot of great demos of the app, show you a lot of the features and functionalities that you may be looking for in a POS system. And overall, you can get a feel for their company culture and just the product that they're trying to get to you.
