Domo serves enterprise customers in all industries looking to manage their entire organization from a single platform.
Tableau empowers people throughout the organization to easily ask and answer questions of their data with intuitive, AI-powered tools to make better business decisions every day.
Domo is an excellent tool for creating high quality dashboards. The documentation is excellent.
The problem is that there's a lot of variance for when the sources finish updating so sometimes it updates without getting all the data in and looks weird.
They have been great, and I had a great experience with their tools. Very intuitive and flexible.
All of our filters were hidden in a very dull drop down.
Great looking reporting and I love the ability I have to manage and analyze my big data sets.
Basic functionality was confusing. As an example, why did you need to go to another screen to sort columns.
The visualizations are amazing. This paired with the ability to see them on your phone in real time make this a really powerful tool to communicate with non data folk.
Domo can be very difficult to learn at first if you are not somewhat familiar with SQL.
I enjoy using Tableau and recommend it over other data visualization tools due to the flexibility and the beautiful visualizations that can be made with it.
Large files takes a while to load and sometimes it will crash which is inconvenient. Since there is no auto-save function, you can lose your work if it crashes.
I have nothing but praise for the product. The support, stability, and quality of visualizations are all great.
However, support is terrible for this product and some of the versions are released with a few bugs. We will likely continue to this but it is imperfect.
Overall, Tableau is a fantastic program for getting automated reports created, published, and off your plate. The visuals are amazing and the subscriptions and alert system are my absolute favorite.
Statement: the old invoice needs to be paid. So although we have a written confirmation, that the invoice is cancelled, tableau didn't cancel and now we have no money and no license.
Good software with multiple interesting features and the ability to create attractive dashboards.
The Error messaging is ambiguous sometimes. There is also limited crosstabs which I don't like.
Speaker 1: Hi, my name is Jared. I'm a business development specialist working with Solarium. I'd like to give Domo a rating of three out of five. Prior to using Domo, we were using a service called Pipedrive for our CRM. We wanted to just find something a little bit more dynamic that really was able to work with us and be able to use across platform for all the different agents that worked in our company. We decided to go with Domo just 'cause we wanted to try something that seemed like it was very innovative and new. Domo seemed to be a fresh app out there or a fresh platform out there that really would be able to meet all of our needs and also be pretty similar to what we were using before, but give us a lot more advanced features. Transitioning to Domo was pretty seamless. Our team was able to easily figure out the platform, figure out all the settings and whatnot so we could customize it to our needs. So really the rollout was smooth, nothing crazy, and it was able to get up and running as soon as possible. As far as advice for people who are looking to transition to Domo, I definitely would say to make sure that you have your full IT team and also your project management operations team collaborating on that to make sure that they're all fully understanding what the platform can do for them and how they can best utilize it to help your business grow and advance.
Raju R.: Good morning, Raju, Digital Ops Manager in Walmart. I give Tableau four out of five. Business problem plus, compare the metrics between its department and to the overall market. The most thing I like about Tableau is the highlighted part, I like most. The performance with the higher value come to the top and the lower performance come to the bottom with the highlighted things. That is the must I like. And another thing, it is easy to change between the tabs. That's what I liked. It loaded very slow. And when I tried to run some report, it keeps loading, loading, loading, and I have to close, and turn in again. That's the part I don't like.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
