I learned a lot of what not to do, and a little bit about server set up and code writing. Ultimately, I am happy having a good CMS like this that I can use as an option with our clients.
It always has to be a developer. This is a bit frustrating when something goes wrong with the setup.
The community is vibrant and the security one of the best. With the latest version performance and other features are greatly improve.
In addition, the APIs underneath the hood of Drupal often make it quite a long process developing with Drupal. There are a lot of quirks to learn about before you can really get stuck in.
The flexibility this provides to continue growing a web site makes it priceless. The community around the project is amazing and has provided excellent modules to get a site up and running easily.
The product is difficult to use with limited coding knowledge.
Mostly modern CMS have amazing features with good bootstrapping themes that can easily be fit in. Need a one off editor like a visual studio to allow simple edits.
Naming conventions concerning views, nodes, taxonomy, menu items, panels, modules and tokens can be confusing and particularly overwhelming to a beginner.
The best thing that I liked about Relayto is that I was able to perform my day to day work functionalities without any hassle and that all the services that the platform offers is amazing and simple.
The cost of the product is high for small businesses who has limited marketing budgets. And for freshers or people who are new to this software it can be difficult to understand how it works.
The creative process is usually very fun for me by itself, so I was happy to try out Relayto. It's more complex than Canva but similarly easy.
Apart from that, I didn't find anything to hate.
Its great as it helps us to creat a nice designed content which is very impressive and also we are now investing less time for making presentations.
The business sectors where we work are turning out to be progressively aggressive. New contestants are coming in, and client needs are turning out to be more unpredictable.
My experience is nice especially when doing my content since they have a very accessible template to customize with plus the safe and secure document management is very helpful too.
So far I haven't seen any cons per se but if I had to pick something, I would say they should have a drag and drop option too. But at the same time, their menu to add content is quite interactive.
Rachel M.: Hi, my name is Rachel. I'm a Corporate Marketing Director and I would give Drupal a four out of five star rating. For more reviews like this click below. Prior to getting Drupal, we had WordPress and one of the reasons that we got away from WordPress was that we needed to be able to allow access control to different employees. We chose Drupal primarily because our brand consultants recommended it for our new website. But one of the things we really wanted to make sure is that the new website was able to be locked dow, so that images couldn't be stolen, if you will, from our website. Also, we wanted to make sure that we were able to give different access to different employees based on their roles and needs for the program. Making the transition to Drupal was fairly easy. We had good training over the course of a full day with our branding consultant and that really gave us all the information that we needed to adequately maintain and add content in the back end. If you're looking to move over to Drupal from a different CMS, I do recommend a couple things. One of the negatives about Drupal is it does not allow you to upload multiple images at the same time. You aren't able to batch upload. So, you will take some time having go one by one. So, if you have a lot of images to upload, you're going to want to carve out a lot of time or hire a third party. You'll also want to make sure that you stick with a developer or consultant who will always ensure that you have the most up to date updates for Drupal to make sure that your back end is working to the best it can be. And also, the other thing I would highly recommend is that you do group training at the very beginning and create kind of a cheat sheet on what you're going to be doing the most. For example, we used a kind of a Cliffs Notes version of how upload projects and people and other content and that's been incredibly helpful throughout the years for new employees that come in and they can hit the ground running.
