Corporate, academic, and student scientists / researchers.
Designed for business analysts, data scientists, researchers & engineers, the statistical analysis tool helps analyze data through customizable charts/graphs, improving manufacturing process.
The most amazing thing about this software is that the reporting and analytics is highly appreciated. Also, certain things like curating and accumulating of data is really amazing.
Overall experience with version 8 has been frustrating.
It has been amazing-quality graphs, user friendly and best tool I would recommend for data visualizations.
I have not identified any disadvantages with this software apart from inability to handle larger datasets and some common types of analyses for large datasets are not possible (i.e. PCA).
Prism solved all the limitations that anyone can find in Excel. Importing data is very easy with Prism and I have flexibility of creating great customization charts.
I find it difficult to import the data from my research work to graph them. It saves me time to graph them directly from the programming environment.
I love the graphing options of GraphPad Prism. Customizable, attractive and professional looking.
GraphPad can be very hard to get used to. Users must know how to input that data correctly.
If what you want to do is supported in a proc then it can be very easy to to get your work done. The documentation is *very* good.
It is definitely a difficult software to utilize as far as coding is concerned. I had a difficult time keeping up with the course.
The fact it can be coded in SQL is also a nice plus. Great set of add-on can really help produce awesome and clear reports.
Additionally, the software itself has a lot of bugs and I found myself needing to quit and restart the program just for the exact same code to work. Getting it to read data can be a pain as well.
SAS is great and has great documentation and SAS also provides a lot of great books.
Learning how to code in SAS is a real pain if you've ever learned any other coding language. It's just way different than anything else.
Additionally, I like the log feature which helps you debug your code. I also like that the syntax is mostly not case sensitive (with the exception of literal strings).
The cost of the software is high and increasing to the level that sometimes hard to renew every year, to cope up with other incremental expenses of life.
