We work with small and medium sized businesses that collect personal information and thus need website or application policies. We also work with website design agencies and law firms.
I use PDMS for accreditation mostly and find it user friendly. The success community is a huge help and when I do have to contact PDMS they are helpful and quick to find an answer.
I think the people who don’t generally work off of a “table of contents” style program may have trouble, there are lots of “levels” when getting deeper into the program.
It is super user friendly. And if you do not understand or are having difficulties you can check out a webinar or reach out to the super responsive and friendly customer service people.
Downloading document in native application is confusing for end users.
I like the ease of uploading the proofs and written documentation. I like being able to track my progress.
As mentioned above, it can be confusing. There isn't a clear, or intuitive way to use this resource.
The search feature and the ability for customization of foldering down to the ability to create specific approval and review templates are great.
Sometime it is a bit hard to get the workflows correct.
Jason: Hi. My name is Jason. I am a lieutenant. I give PowerDMS a five out of five. For more reviews like this, please click below. I've been using PowerDMS for over 10 years now. Primary uses include policy management, compliance and accreditation, training management, equipment management, inventory, as well as managing our extra duty and scheduling. What I like most about PowerDMS is that it's widely used amongst law enforcement agencies here in the States and nationally. It is a very simple system to use. But despite it being very simple, you can use it in a variety of different ways to help your agency. There is an available phone app for PowerDMS. While it is great for reviewing policy and documents out in the field, I do wish it was a little bit more robust in regards to training and scheduling.
Mike D.: Hi, my name's Mike. I'm an owner of a small web design agency, and I give Termageddon a four out of five. Some of the other software products that I was using before Termageddon was Rocket Lawyer, Pre-Paid Legal, LegalShield, and some just free templates you can find online for privacy policies and terms of service. The main thing I liked about Termageddon is that they're very approachable. Their service is great, but what's most helpful, especially for the clients that I don't have common interactions with is that their policies are always up to date as the privacy laws change every single week and month, and depending on the state or jurisdiction. So I don't have to worry that privacy policies might be out of date or worry that the client is following the laws. I can just set Termageddon up and they've tracked all that for us, and it's one less thing to worry about while making sure the sites are in compliance. Setting up Termageddon was extremely easy. I signed up as an agency. They provided some drip campaigns as well as some information for me to share with my clients to teach them about privacy, and give them the option to opt out of having a privacy policy or choosing to get a Termageddon policy with me. Most everyone I've shared this information with has decided to opt in, which just adds profit to the bottom line because the wholesale rates are very affordable. As far as actually setting it up, it takes less than 15 minutes from beginning to end to get a Termageddon privacy policy installed onto a site. For anyone that's considering getting Termageddon, please know that privacy policies, the terms of service are kind of a requirement now, you really can't get away with not having them. But, even though Termageddon is co-owned by one of the leading privacy attorneys and I trust what they export, you do want to make sure that you read and understand the policies that you're publishing under your own name, and as applicable have your own counsel approve them, even though Termageddon will generate them, keep them updated for you. At the end of the day, it's your name you're putting on the policies, and they get you a lot of the way there, but you want to make sure you're understanding what you're publishing on your site.
