Dacast platform is ideal for all kinds of activities and industries, among which: Faith, Sport, Business, Education, Agencies, Production, Entertainment, Media, Government/Nonprofit, Medical...
Altar Live is used by churches of all sizes for Sunday services, fellowship time before and after, and throughout the week.
Pricing is the biggest difference. DaCast is actually affordable for any kind of broadcast and combining that with the solid reliability puts DaCast way ahead of the rest.
After that I have had problems with the website tracking how much space our recordings are taking up. It has been about a year and the problem is still not fully resolved.
Really impressed with DaCast because it easy to use, flexible, user friendly, stable, and great quality.
The latency is annoying (can be up to 15 secondes) and the upgrade payment to eliminate it is really too expensive.
The price is amazing for the services you receive. Also the customer service is outstanding.
Communication between company and user is poor.
I had never heard of Dacast before and decided to take a chance on it. I was amazed at the quality and wondered why my previous experience with other platforms was not as good.
VOD - recorded live streams have multiple 'holes' in them, most recordings have 10-20 minute holes missing in the recording.
The folks at Altar Live have been responsive and super helpful. They have been a delight to work with.
Initially I found some of the constraints (four people in a row, for instance) to be an irritating challenge.
I find the team supportive and helpful and responsive, and I really like what they have developed.
Our online broadcast was primarily on Facebook and it was so limiting - some people aren't on Facebook, those that are on are hesitant to comment for the entire world to see.
I love all the features of Altar Live. Especially the ability to have organized break-out rooms and the ability to assign hosts to those tables prior to meeting.
Many of our users have had trouble logging onto the platform.
The emphasis on community interaction is great. Setting up meeting rooms that we can gather in at anytime is a great addition.
I haven't used this long enough to find the things that frustrate me.
