Brightspace is used by learners in higher education, K12, enterprise and association sector.
Edsby is built just for the special needs of K-12 districts and regions. It is not appropriate for individual K-12 schools, higher education, corporate training, non-profits, home schooling, etc.
It's made school all the easier simply because of the ease that comes with the use of Brightspace. It's a great source, and I would recommend it to everyone.
However, it is frustrating to use and has more case-by-case / glitching problems that other learning management softwares I have used.
I like the ability for there to be an online classroom and I like that it records the lectures. I like how the online classroom allows for screensharing and chatting also.
The program is cumbersome and after many student and instructor complaints our university has switched over to iCollege.
Brightspace is very easy to navigate and customize. It looks very nice and many uses familiar with something like Wordpress will have a pretty easy time.

The user-interface of the software is amazing and it's very easy to navigate through the courses. Moreover, the software has been easy to navigate in today's era of Blended Learning.
Brightspace provides multiple places to find the same things. This is confusing, especially when some assignments are loaded in a given course module but not in the 'Assignments' tab, or vice versa.
Edsby is a fantastic tool for educators. Unlike other Learning Management Systems (LMS), Edsby is easy to use and does a great job of integrating teachers, students, and parents into the ecosystem.
My only complaint is it works only in portrait mode which is tedious but aggravating.
In addition to being a very useful learning management tool, Edsby helps members of our school community keep in touch with one another and celebrate each other's successes.
Some teachers have complained about the way that other students are interacting with their instructors.
Overall, I have had an excellent experience with Edsby because of how it organizes all of the important educational resources into one place.
For assignments with a letter grade - there is no option to give a ZERO - and a U does not calculate in as a zero.

Whether it's browsing through a course or learning new modules, Brightspace provides me with an extensive range of services, whether it's uploading assignments to instructors through the Dropbox option in Brightspace or downloading a PowerPoint which the instructor has done with voice over. The best part about Brightspace is the user interface. The programs and courses are listed in the main menu, and it's just very easy to browse through them. Moreover, one thing that I really like about Brightspace is that instead of emailing assignments to instructors individually, we can just go into Brightspace and use the Dropbox option to upload our assignments, which makes our work easier. One thing that I think Brightspace should change is, this is something that I've encountered with my courses after the pandemic when everything moved online, so our instructors used to do voice over PowerPoints and used to upload it on Brightspace and then we used to access it and go through them. I just feel that the PowerPoint user interface is a little bit old and it needs to be updated.
