H&R Block vs Vertex: Which is a better fit?

Overall, this is the only software I use for my taxes because my experience has been amazing each time. I would recommend this software to everyone.

I used for an 1120S return and it was cumbersome and slow. The review process in the software was terrible.

This software is very easy to deploy and very easy to use. It has a lot of features that make this software a very good value.

Again, that's just me looking for some sort of negative.

Great questionnaires and resources to go through tax prep. Audit check is excellent.

I was also running into some errors trying to pick up where I left off.

I love how quick and easy this ap is to use. It walks you through the steps of filling yourself.

Well not much to complain about, other than the cost to keep my stress level low.

The customer support and ease of use has been fantastic. I have had to call Vertex for support, for recommendations on doing things and for knowledge on the product.

There are sometimes outages, since we are using a cloud based product, and those do cause some orders to go through without the correct taxes being charged.

The customer service people are also exceptionally friendly and the Exchange provides a great opportunity to network with them and fellow colleagues.

Single point of failure. If any part of the connection to Vertex is down the ERP system is unable to complete jobs.

Vertex Cloud has a very easy to use and comprehensive user interface, a robust product mapping capability, and the ability to user test within the interface.

The only thing that we don't like is being charged a minimum fee if we do not use the software in any given month.

I like the ability to run reports and see all of my data so I can manage it myself, in addition to taking advantage of the reporting functionality.

Customer service is all by e-mail and it's poor.
