Global businesses of every size—from new startups to public companies—use Stripe’s software to accept payments and manage their businesses online.
SpotOn is a fully-integrated restaurant and retail management system empowering businesses of all sizes with digital tools supported by personal service at a fair price.
Stripe is one of the top 2 payment gateways that we recommend our eCommerce clients. The feedback from them is always positive and they often thank us for recommending it to them.
Their customer support staff must have been working with incomplete information from the beginning. Perhaps because their product is bad, or because their staff is overworked and/or poorly trained.
The best aspects for by business were the reliability, payment experience (for customers) and that Stripe provides better value for money.
Be warned that if you don't use your stripe account for a while you will have to reverify your account with your ID which can be annoying.
Our experience with Stripe has been excellent, from the ability to test sample payments to activating our customers' subscription payments. I am very happy with this as a payment portal.
I am upset with myself for not setting up Stripe sooner- I missed out on a lot of income from photography prints.
Its been pretty good, even when implementing or having some questions about how it works on some case scenarios they were pretty supportive and easy to reach even on rare hour schedules.
They can ruin your buiness and refund customers for no reason at all check comments all of the web Im not the only business they did this to.
I truly appreciate [sensitive content hidden] helping me solve issues quickly than any other person I talked to. She provided excellent customer service.
Constantly having issues and error warnings. We had to try different downloads and programs and still had issues.
Not only a great POS for restaurants but SpotOn has the most competitive merchant processing rates in the business. Support infrastructure is the best i've ever seen.
So its more of an inconvenience, in order for my phone to ping for a an override I must logged on, so it becomes a slight issue.
Effective and in point and has tons of options for my restaurant, customer service is outstanding, back up router is a huge plus when the Internet goes down you can still be able to operate.
This definitely needs fixed. There is a back up Internet that can be used but won’t turn on unless there is no connection at all.
The reporting capability is great on the website. The customer service from salesperson to installer/trainer has been great.
Always say they will call right back and i have to call 3 or 4 times on same issue before someone solves the problem.
Guy: Hi, my name is Guy. I am the director of a small consulting firm. And I would give Stripe 5 out of 5. So Stripe actually was the first way that we set up to have any kind of credit card payments. So prior to Stripe, we just would invoice customers, and a lot of our customers still do just pay by bank transfer on invoice. But when we're selling smaller ticket items, tickets for events and things like that, yeah, we really needed something, and that's something with Stripe. We looked at a few different solutions. I can't honestly remember what they were because Stripe is probably the most popular in terms of what my friends and business partners would have recommended. And it is just so simple to set up and also to manage. There's lots of different options in there, but, yeah, a pretty easy implementation. So getting started with Stripe, obviously you get into financial details, so you've got to have all your bank accounts and VAT number in the UK, at least, set up. But, yeah, getting started was pretty straightforward, pretty simple. And then integrating with our other products like Xero for accounting was really important as part of that. So I would say, yeah, getting set up was fairly straightforward, but there's certainly a process you need to go through, but Stripe helped me through that. So if you're thinking of getting Stripe, I'd definitely check with the customers that you're hoping to get paid by if they understand it and are happy with it. I mean, that was one of our reasons for choosing it because we knew many people would be. But yeah, you need to be clear what options you're offering your customers. And then other than that, it's just getting onboarded with it, understanding how it works, when you are going to get paid, and setting up those terms within the software. But as I say, Stripe walk you through a lot of that stuff and there's lots of really helpful guides for it.
