1 out of 2 of Parishes use ParishSOFT
ProPresenter is designed for productions of all sizes which enables users to show videos, lyrics, and graphics making it easy to create high-quality live events.
Customer Support has been superb, the software itself has been easy to work with. I am not at all computer savvy, but I have come to love working with ParishSoft.
Lack of customer concern. Started off very disappointed and it got worse.
I feel the program overall is excellent. It has features that can includes any possible scenario that even huge businesses or organizations can use with great results.
The drop down arrows stall. I think it should be a simple fix by the programmers.
The ease of inputting information, the organization of that information, and the ease to review the information makes this program a blessing to our record-keeping process.
Losing my password all the time. I don't know what else to write.
I liked that I could get help and they did an amazing job to make sure that I had what I needed. I know that I'm able to call and get my issue resolved.
Trying to figure it out and that so many people prior to me didn't use it right so that the data is a mess.
What I like best about pro presenter is that the company is constantly improving and updating their product.
We have implemented this software with a team primarily made up of volunteers, and it is a struggle at times for them to troubleshoot issues that arise beyond basic problems.
The live steaming of the app is so good that i will count it at the top in the things that i liked the most. The church management is very easy with propresentor.
If I had to pick anything to dislike about this software, it would have to be license restrictions.
I like the ease of use and visual cues. I also like how you can set up how you like and it customized for your needs.
I'm disappointed, and am testing other software to potentially replace ProPresenter at our Church.
I love how easy it is to set up and hand off to a volunteer to operate. The best part about propresenter is how easy it is to use, but how flexible the software is.
If your graphic is too large, it doesn't always display as a thumbnail and takes an extra second or two to fire.
Mike: Hi, my name's Mike, I'm a pastoral associate. I give ParishSOFT a three out of five. For more views like this click the link below. I primarily use ParishSOFT to find just quick information on parishioners. So my job involved a lot of meetings, a lot of outreach to our parishioners. I'd go into ParishSOFT to find email addresses, and phone numbers and physical addresses, everything was there. It was a convenient resource for me. It was a lot easier than digging through an Excel spreadsheet, or looking through a physical book, definitely. There was a lot of load times, and that was frustrating. That made it harder to do... I know there is more advanced functionality in there, you could people into groups for quick communication, or contact list. And that just became so tedious because of how slow the program moved.
Daniel J.: Hi, my name's Daniel. I'm at South County Bible Church. I'm the Associate Pastor here. We've been using ProPresenter for about 10 years, and I'll give it four out of five stars. We use ProPresenter every week, although not on a day-to-day basis. We use it for projecting lyrics and video content in our sanctuary on Sunday mornings. We also use it for rehearsals, but that's just for preparing for that Sunday service. What we like most about ProPresenter is that it just works for the most part. You can import all kinds of different content. It connects to a lot of the different services like SongSelect and other places that you can subscribe to that'll help you create your slides easier. It seems like no matter what kind of file I throw at it, ProPresenter can read it. In the last couple of years as the new versions of ProPresenter have come out, they've switched to a subscription base. The good thing about that is that they do seem to have a lot of new content and a lot of new features as time has gone on, and it works for the most part. They do seem to release updates so quickly that sometimes I feel like they aren't completely bug tested because we've had to, probably three times in the last year, we've had to roll back to a previous version because the new stuff they've added doesn't work right away. We've had to implement a test and see rather than just update. To be honest, the cost every year to subscribe is pretty prohibitive. Thankfully, our church is financially able to do that, but it used to be you'd buy it and it would just work for three or four years and then you'd buy the new version, so paying every year is a little bit of a burden.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
