Hero serves K-12 schools and districts.
Small schools including Montessori, Episcopal, Christian, Catholic, Private, Lutheran, Charter, Independent, Waldorf, & Islamic schools. Also for Online Schools, Homeschools, and Micro-Schools.
The climate at school is much better. The kids are happier, and they enjoy coming to the HERO store and earning more points for demonstrating positive behaviors.
Students will then say they "forgot" to serve their detention because they did not get the paper.
I like the HERO software because it is user friendly. There is a lot of support options and the customer service is excellent.
Limited functionality- adding notes/explanation, limited reports generation, limited control over consequences, etc.
I like how Hero integrates a point system to promote positive behaviors. Their fast track addition was great.
Trying to fill out an incident report. The form is too challenging and confusing.
It is easy to use, students enjoy getting the positive points especially when they are getting a reward such as a dress down for being top earners within the school.
This system is able to track behaviors and we are able to give students incentives. The only thing I don't like about it is if you make a mistake its a lot of steps to right the problem.
If I have any questions, there are many ways to get help and the team is very supportive and generous with their time.
At this time, the admissions and payment are not connected, so we have to manually input charges.
Our experience with SchoolCues has been nothing but positive overall. The communication and support from the company is outstanding.
At this time, there is no LMS option within the system. I asked about this feature and they said they are planning to add this feature but it is not an option at this time.
The communication component is very good. Best of all the company provides great customer service.
Unfortunately, navigating the software sometimes takes up much time.
The software is very easy to use and navigate and provides a very comprehensive platform for our school. The tutorials are super easy to navigate and provides continuous support.
These are a few of the annoying minor bugs that the team is correcting. So, you need to be careful when looking at lists of things, because they are usually not sorted in a sensical way.
Matthew: My name is Matthew. I'm the Board President for a small nonprofit school. And I give SchoolCues a five out of five. I looked at a couple of different programs. One we currently use is Brightwheel. Unfortunately, it did not meet all the needs for the school. So I reached out to SchoolCues, and they met all the needs that we have. And there was not much search. They were the first ones that came up. And they gave me everything I needed. I chose SchoolCues because it was affordable. They specifically work for nonprofit small schools, which we are. And they had all the software that we needed to run our school on a day-to-day basis. SchoolCues was quite easy to get onboarded with. After I met with their onboarding team, I received an email with the instructions on how to download the software, get logged in, and start implementing programs and applications that I needed. And within the implementation process, there was a team member that was constantly in communication with me, who provided trainings on a one-to-one basis. And allowed me to be able to truly understand the operations of the software, which made onboarding tenfold easier than any other software I've used. With using SchoolCues, the only recommendation I have is to use it. Because they are open communication, they're easy. They're integrable with anything that you may already have established. And it's a platform that is specifically meant for nonprofit schools. And they can work with any size school. I have 75 students, and they work great for me. With other schools that have hundreds of students... So that's my only recommendation is to actually use the program. They're great.
