Ease of use, ease of setup, setup is organized and clear, love that it notifies my staff when I publish a schedule and is integrated with phone platforms/has an app.
It is ridiculously glitchy. I don't know how many schedules have been messed up because it will incorrectly mark blocked out days after refreshing which causes confusion and more work later on.
The ease of setting up different schedules is great and all my employees were able to quickly set up their profiles and were able to use the app with ease.
You can't use OpenSimSim on your phone, which is really too bad.
Overall it has been a good experience, I say that because my best friend is a software engineer and I know it takes time to work out the bugs in any application or program.
The thing that I struggle with the most with the app is adjusting my schedule for multiple days.
The transition over to Opensimsim was seamless. The best part has been watching the platform evolve and improve.
Inputting availabilities are a pain has you can only select day by day and I would prefer having a my availability weekly spread to check I have inputted the information correctly.
But then we grew to 10 and I didn't want to take any more of my time handling a stone age tool. I feel now very comfortable with CakeHR, a dedicated product at a very competitive price.
No warning given if approving a request for time off for an employee who is over their accrued time off entitlement.
I like the ease of use and the range of information that is supplied in the reports. The fact that the employee can customise when they will receive their questionnaire is also very helpful.
It gives a weird login issue sometimes. When i login, even after many days, it gives me a session error and asks me to re-login.
Happy to have one place with all the important stuff about our valued employees + info about their progress.
On Accpac when posting payments, you get those errors batches and you have to repost and its time consuming.
Overall the experience is great, and whenever I have any doubt the customer happiness team is super fast on solving it.
Mobile application: It is very basic, almost no functionality. You can't clock in/out from the app, which is essential these days for employees who move around.
