Serving municipalities for over 25 years, Sportsman is built for Parks & Recreation, Community Centers, Senior Centers, Facility Scheduling, Summer Camps, Activities, Programs and Online Registration.
I like that we have the functionality to control and change a lot of our data. The support from the Ostara team is fantastic, always willing to help answer whatever question is thrown at them.
How the contractors struggle to log in via the app and then we have to close jobs/raise remedial jobs. There is so much handholding required.
I've loved working with Ostara over the years. They are an absolute pleasure to work with and the support we have needed recently to use the system to it's full potential has been incredible.
This is where they write their findings/any needed remedials so this can be missed if the client don’t authorise work order in time.
Overall Ostara is a solid system, its stable and the team get on top of any issues quickly should they arise.
Reporting can be a bit rigid. In addition the number of reports can be confusing for the end user.
Good and love working with the team to improve the use.
Presently, I am involved in getting our accident form added to OSTARA.
The last couple years Sportsman has been taking HUGE leaps and advances. I like where it's going and the webinars are SUPER GREAT, keep it up.
Developers are not working hand and hand with the end users, instead relying on an overworked staff to implement change. Facility management tool is poor.
The "small town" feel when you call in for support. I share this with many different people, really important to me to have similar people helping out and it's great if they happen to know you too.
I must admit, the software's excessive clicks required to access concession items was a bit bothersome.
I like the ease of use of Sportsman and the wonderful customer service attached.
Overall the discount functionality is a bit confusing to learn.
We have one place for all membership, activities, facility reservations, fees, and special events. It has been an amazing help during the last 2 1/2 years of shifting needs and new practices.
Sometimes events will show up on the calendar and you cannot get them off without deleting the event and re-adding it. It is ‘easy’, but annoying.
