I also love that it is web based so I can access it remotely. Overall I am very pleased with the software and feel you get an amazing product for a very reasonable price.
Their billing policies are draconian, the back end is terrible and the front end user experience is so ugly an uncustomizable compared to industry peers.
We've been very, very happy with Bloomerang. This software is light years ahead of what we had, and the fact that it integrates with DonorSearch is amazing.
A downside - Reports are still confusing at times, needing so many steps and not fully understanding how to use the drop downs, or what they mean to pull the report I need.

The automated surveys could be revised. I wish you could edit them because the lapsed one has offended some donors so we have stopped using it.

Before we adopted Bloomerang, we were using a software that did not show a timeline. It was very difficult in donor relations to not be able to see what our giving history and interactions were with a donor year over year. It was not user-friendly for creating reports. It was just hard to pull information about individuals. We decided to go with Bloomerang because it does show a very clear timeline very easily. It's a very user-friendly system. People don't need a lot of training in order to know how to use it and it is much easier to do reports and much easier to see the relationships that exists among our constituents. We adopted Bloomerang seven years ago. It's honestly a little bit hard to remember what it was like to get started. I do remember that we adopted it right after we were completing an auction. Bloomerang really made it pretty easy for us. I don't remember that it was a particularly difficult process to be onboarded with Bloomerang. Then we were just good to go as soon as the new fiscal year started. We shifted over entirely to Bloomerang. Anybody who's thinking about Bloomerang, I would encourage you to call some of the Bloomerang references and just really talk to people about the experiences that they've had. I would also encourage you, if you're going to purchase Bloomerang, to go ahead and pay for the phone support. The technical support at Bloomerang is absolutely what I love the most about Bloomerang. They are nice, they are helpful, and they will stay with me as long as I need them to help me figure out whatever situation I have that I need their help with. This could be in creating reports or cleaning up individuals, how to send a particular kind of communication. They are super, super helpful. So for that, that is why I give Bloomerang a five out of five, just being able to call and speak to somebody who can help me solve my problems.

We're using Eleo now because we had used a product previously, eTapestry, and we were about to upgrade to the full-on Blackbaud Raiser's edge NXT, and it was just way more software and way more complicated and extremely more expensive than what we needed. So we looked around at different possible choices, and we found Eleo. Eleo was very cost-effective, extremely capable and feature-rich, and had a fantastic customer service and sales force. We've been really excited about what we've done by changing from where we were with eTapestry to go with Eleo. Eleo is a fantastic software package. It provides all the bells and whistles a nonprofit could expect or want in the process of managing your donors and donations. It has features to help you with event planning. It has features to help you with donor management. It's just a full-featured, wonderful software package, and best of all, it's just super easy to learn. The learning curve is very small and you're up and running in a matter of no time. Their customer support's been fantastic. They offer free webinars on a regular basis. They help you learn the new components of your software. And it's something that in general, just really enhances a fundraiser's capabilities to get out in the community, spend more time with your relationships, and less time trying to figure out software. When it came time to switch from eTapestry to Eleo, we provided an Excel spreadsheet with all the data that we had from our previous software, gave it to Eleo, they migrated the data, and we had it up and running in less than 10 days. We were so excited, and it was so easy for us to just pick it up and start working with it immediately. It was worth every bit of the time that we invested in making the change, and the customer service... The people at Eleo were just super fantastic. Super friendly, super helpful, could not have asked for a better experience in the process of transferring from one organization to another. I've gone through a number of different nonprofits in my career, and I've worked with a bunch of different donor-management, customer-management type of software, including the big names like Salesforce and Raiser's Edge. And boy, hands down, Eleo has been easiest, fastest, and best and lightest-weight as far as learning curve goes. It is just super fantastic, and it gives me all the features that I need as a fundraiser to get out and manage what I need to have done and stay on top of where I'm going with my fundraising campaigns throughout the entire year. It's got a great calendar feature, and it's got a great events module, and it's just a super fantastic, easy to-use-software. If you're looking for a new software package for managing your customers and donors, I would suggest going with Eleo, and going with it sooner than later, because you won't regret it. It's got all the features of the expensive software packages, and you can grow it as you need to. You can start out with a small non-profit organization and expand it as you grow, and it'll grow with you all along the way. It is a wonderful package.
