I also love that it is web based so I can access it remotely. Overall I am very pleased with the software and feel you get an amazing product for a very reasonable price.
Their billing policies are draconian, the back end is terrible and the front end user experience is so ugly an uncustomizable compared to industry peers.
We've been very, very happy with Bloomerang. This software is light years ahead of what we had, and the fact that it integrates with DonorSearch is amazing.
A downside - Reports are still confusing at times, needing so many steps and not fully understanding how to use the drop downs, or what they mean to pull the report I need.

The lack of an event tracking feature. It is also frustrating that all mass communications are embedded as interactions.
It was easy to learn after having used a variety of other databases (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Donor Perfect, Apricot). I am happy with the flexibility in reporting.
The automated surveys could be revised. I wish you could edit them because the lapsed one has offended some donors so we have stopped using it.
Our data migration was incredibly smooth. We had the best support in the team at Charityproud and are so thankful for their willingness to continue to teach and help us along the way.
We still have to pay for the Keystone software for this feature alone.
I also love how easy it is to issue acknowledgements, integrate with our website and the P2P function is wonderful.
The software also has limitations on its document creation and landing page designs. The options to customize are limited and difficult to use.
Integration was easy, and I liked the clean, effective outward-facing features like the online donation page.
The main dashboard/screen contains multiple use options, and can sometimes be overwhelming to the user, especially new users with limited donor data knowledge.
We love the ease of use and wonderful customer support. The integrated donation site and peer to peer is a wonderful addition that allowed us to replace two software packages with one.
Many of our married/partner constituents are both very involved with Habitat. Charityproud makes it hard to track these as a unit.

Before we adopted Bloomerang, we were using a software that did not show a timeline. It was very difficult in donor relations to not be able to see what our giving history and interactions were with a donor year over year. It was not user-friendly for creating reports. It was just hard to pull information about individuals. We decided to go with Bloomerang because it does show a very clear timeline very easily. It's a very user-friendly system. People don't need a lot of training in order to know how to use it and it is much easier to do reports and much easier to see the relationships that exists among our constituents. We adopted Bloomerang seven years ago. It's honestly a little bit hard to remember what it was like to get started. I do remember that we adopted it right after we were completing an auction. Bloomerang really made it pretty easy for us. I don't remember that it was a particularly difficult process to be onboarded with Bloomerang. Then we were just good to go as soon as the new fiscal year started. We shifted over entirely to Bloomerang. Anybody who's thinking about Bloomerang, I would encourage you to call some of the Bloomerang references and just really talk to people about the experiences that they've had. I would also encourage you, if you're going to purchase Bloomerang, to go ahead and pay for the phone support. The technical support at Bloomerang is absolutely what I love the most about Bloomerang. They are nice, they are helpful, and they will stay with me as long as I need them to help me figure out whatever situation I have that I need their help with. This could be in creating reports or cleaning up individuals, how to send a particular kind of communication. They are super, super helpful. So for that, that is why I give Bloomerang a five out of five, just being able to call and speak to somebody who can help me solve my problems.

Before we had Charity Proud, our organization used Google Sheets to track all of our donations, all of our revenue, all of our expenses. And so we just kind of had a lot of different spreadsheets going on, it was really chaotic. And so then we switched to Charity Proud. We chose Charity Proud one, because of the customer service. We had an employee from Charity Proud come in and meet with our team initially to share with us all of the feature, how it would benefit our organization. It was local to us. So that was really beneficial for us. And then aside from the customer service, the interface was extremely user friendly. The reports that we've been able to pull for our organization are extremely helpful to gather data from our revenue, our donors, that type of thing. And so we love it for the customer service, the ease of use and honestly, it just has extremely great features that help us grow our organization. Getting started with Charity Proud was extremely easy on the side of working with the Charity Proud team to get our database set up. For us because our books and the way that we were doing it on Excel was so outdated, it took our team a lot of time to get it to where it needed to be for Charity Proud, but the work was definitely worth it. And working with the Charity Proud team made it so much more easier than if we had to do it alone. I would recommend anyone looking to organize their revenue, looking to have a way to track touch points with donors and to have great reports for growing your organization, I would highly recommend Charity Proud. And the main reason why I would recommend it is because they assign you an employee at Charity Proud to be your case manager. And so any questions that you have, you can call them, you can email them and they have a extremely quick response rate to help you get what you need. They have great tutorials on how to use the database. And so I just would, I would highly, highly recommend Charity Proud if you're considered it.
