It looks great, the daily update emails are really helpful, it's very easy to use and the reporting is incredibly useful.
The job tagging/ticketing can be difficult to navigate and seems to miss out/ not display other tickets in the same job hierarchy.
Love this software and the interface is so easy to use. I like that I can add resources that are not people and move things around with ease.
As soon as no more resources are available, the time table becomes confusing.
I like a very nice and easy possibility of reports, and how easy I can find and shedule people which I need.
If someone else books your work, they have to delete or change it. If my schedule changes and the booker is not available to change it then it causes problems on my end.
The daily/weekly tracker is very useful and the ability to plan ahead is a godsend.
I think I'm missing the possibility to attach documents to tasks.
Oracle Primavera Cloud is very user-friendly, has amazing management and scheduling tools which allows good coordination between the team and also save money and time.
Primavera required a specific version of Java to be deployed, which caused a lot of lost productivity trying to roll back our Java installations internally.
This is a great and powerful tool for scheduling, absolutely love this program and its ability to get things done. We still use P6 as we feel this is the best version, the web-versions aren't as good.
Current customer support by Oracle is terrible. EI and Java could never be updated otherwise the software would not function.
Useful and with a nice interface. Generates metrics and arrays of interesting indices for decision making in project management.
The only problem is it takes time to get familiar with all its functions. If you used it to teach students it will take time for them to understand it comparing to MS projects.
If there is ever any kind of issue it has been resolved with in moments of reaching out to tech support. I also was able to teach myself this program which is always a bonus.
The Price is very high, and when you need to upgrade to the cloud version the integration will be more hard than on-premise.
Tiffany: Hi, my name is Tiffany. I'm a project interface manager over at Hitachi Energy. Hitachi is part of a larger conglomerate Hitachi. I work specifically in renewable energy, working on the grid and energy design. And I would rate Oracle Primavera four stars. So before using Primavera, I was using Microsoft Project. I was also using Smartsheet and using Excel. I was using Primavera a bit more than the other softwares, given that it was also a contractual requirement from some clients, whether they were governmental, they would require your planning to be in Primavera. However, I also thought that Primavera was a stronger tool when it came to critical path analysis and using codification and linking it to Tableau Software. So sort of having a connected database. I use Primavera as a primary software over other softwares because I believe that it has a stronger critical path to analysis. I think it's also preferred in the engineering industry when it comes to waterfall planning methods. I also like the way it integrates with other softwares such as Tableau. I would actually say that when you're getting started with Primavera Cloud, it can be quite challenging. I think that Primavera is not an easy tool to learn. It's not easy to integrate in a team. It's also not easy to sell as a preferred software in a team of folks that don't know about Primavera. If there's another software that can be accepted by the client, I think that most people would prefer to use it. I think once you get going and understand it, it can be a stronger tool, but it's hard to get to that point. I think that if you're going to get started with Primavera Cloud, you should definitely understand how it works before implementing it into your team. You should have a key person on the team that understands the ins and outs of the softwares and understands the common bugs or blocking points that happen when building or operating a live project.
