Zabbix has been designed to scale from small environments with a few devices to large ones with hundreds of thousands of monitored devices.
Network engineers and IT admins looking for advanced IP address and switch port management, and also comprehensive network troubleshooting.
I love the aspect of scalability in Zabbix. Zabbix is highly scalable and monitor thousands of servers, devices, and applications from a single instance making its performance outstanding.
Performance decrease on medium scale traffic. Configuring new environment is difficult.
The reporting function is excellent with beautiful graphics that show you what you need to know. There are more than enough options for notifications with email, SMS, Teams to mention a few.
Most complex part of in it is implementation and configuration for dashboard. Learning curves are sharp as it have limited engineer that work on it.
Using Zabbix is quite easy and effective to monitor the environment with proper graphical records and the cost is also good to consider. The support community is big and knowledgable.
If you don't know Linux, you will face a hard time while installation, but there are many youtube videos which will assist step by step installation.
Zabbix is the perfect solution for our organization to deliver proactive monitoring. It gives insights in our business processes and services.
Doesn't offer same flexibility you get from open source alternatives.
Overall it has been a good experience, with a bit for focus on support this could be a great product. I will still continue to use this daily as it's the most robust solution in the price bracket.
When something is wrong with a switch scan and it just fails to scan with the SNMP credentials that had been working, there is no easy way to find out why it fails.
I happy with this product, I have been using to for 8 years and they keep adding features, Price are very reasonable for such amazing product.
Login window is confusing. SSO setup is misleading and documentation is inaccurate.
I would recommend and am happy I have found this handy tool at a great price.
Some of the reporting area and also dashboard PDF extraction is missing.
Overall I am satisfied with the software, good value for the money, easy to setup, customize and get connected to network devices and DCs if you know your switch/server credentials.
Lack of subnet naming in the tree-view part of the GUI.
Grant W.: Hi there. My name's Grant. I'm a DevOps engineer. I would give Zabbix a four out of five rating. For more reviews, click below. Previous to using Zabbix, we were using Nagios for our monitoring. While it did seem to be okay, we found that Zabbix was a much better solution overall. We decided to go with [Nabbix 00:00:27] for our monitoring for multiple different reasons actually. The first one being the amount of different plugins that Zabbix has. We like the interface on it. We liked the speed of getting things set up. It seems to be a nice monitoring tool overall. We found getting set up with Zabbix to be relatively easily actually. We looked at all the options and deployed Zabbix within a couple of months. We have fine tuned it to our specific needs, and it seems to be working well. I would recommend anybody who wants to use Zabbix take a look at all the options. Take a look at all the plugins. Do your planning before you even start to look at rolling this out. Doing that will save you a lot of time in the long run, and it'll all be set up correctly and nicely for you.
