Toast is designed exclusively for foodservice. While other POS systems are split up between industries, Toast has always been focused on addressing the specific challenges of foodservice providers.
Free online ordering and table reservation system that lets restaurants receive orders from their website, Facebook page, or mobile app. Perfect for curbside pickup, delivery, and tableside service.
It has tremendously improved efficiency and flow of our Taproom. We now have the ability to swipe a card and store credit card information; which is a huge benefit for those of us in co-op spaces.
I have gone from recommending TOAST to experiencing extreme frustration w/ terrible customer service.
I love how robust it is. The search bar feature at the top makes it easy to find what you are looking for in a platform that is really encompassing of any of our retail and restaurant POS needs.
Their technical support is AWFUL. Every time we have a major support issue- now only does it take them DAYS to respond via email, but they almost always find a way to deflect the blame.
This software is robust and packed with very helpful features. Compared to other popular software packages, it is very reasonably priced.
The most thing that brings negative emotions is soft update, there is no any notifications about coming update at all.
I love how easy it is to use and navigate. The set up is easy and the system is fast and effective.
They have a week’s worth of our money and yet have the audacity and utter bad judgement to drain our bank account for payroll. Why not use OUR money that you have already imprisoned.
Anytime you have a question you can just message them on the chat and they will help you in any possible way. They are promt, kind, helpful, sincere, and so smart.
Some devices can have an extremely high volume at max settings. It's utterly ridiculous that this widely complained problem is the hill that the developers choose to die on.
We are very happy with GloriaFood, it has been a great addition to our lineup of products. We are happy to have a system that is agnostic and can be used by pretty much and food establishment.
The ordering receiving app on the tablet needs some updating, pre-orders can sometimes be lost and forgotten as they are not sorted (you can find a workaround by looking at the reports).
Very stable, next to none downtime. Super effective support team; they provide swift and prompt response regarding your inquiries.
But its their system that allows it. Significant money can be lost by any business.
There support is outstanding and their reliability is excellent. Plus they went out of their way to get us integrated with an online payment provider.
Another problem is the export of data which does not allow you to see the customers who have used the promotional codes and how much is the discount amount.
Julia: Hi, my name is Julia. I am the owner of Kin Southern Table and Bar located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. We are a full-service restaurant offering Southern comfort food or what we like to call soul food. And out of five stars, I would give Toast a four. Prior to Toast, we did not have anything, any sort of software. We opened our restaurant in 2021 during the pandemic and Toast was our first option, and we've kept it since we've opened. I ended up choosing Toast because the great price point for the monthly services. I thought it was great because it was customizable. We were able to expand and add additional items onto our program, like gift cards. We've expanded to delivery service and I thought that as our business grew, that would be really important to us. I think the onboarding process was really easy for us. We had a lot of support, whether it was through Zoom calls or just onsite and our initial salesperson. We definitely felt like we had a team working with us to make sure that we were able to get up and running in time for our opening day. If anyone is considering Toast out there, I definitely recommend doing some research, speak with other restaurateurs and see what they also love about Toast. I know for me the biggest selling point was just how easy it was. It's a very intuitive program. It's super customizable. Like we said, we were able to enhance our initial product and we've added on so many different things that help make our day-to-day operations easy. But definitely do some research.
