For over 20 years, the vendor states industries such as education, including over 200 institutions, healthcare, finance, and government, have chosen PortalGuard as their preferred solution.
Everyone who needs to manage many passwords.
Not only did they listen to our story, they offered additional information to help us better use their product. We could not be more pleased.
I run into problems sometimes after logging into Portal Guard i will receive a 404 error and have to hit the back button and start over again.
The recent integration of extended portal features like announcements to PortalGuard is a welcome addition. I hope to see more of this kind of work in future versions.
After we implemented the software , we found out that there were some features that we could use and they were missing. We worked with PG's development and they added it those features.
PortalGuard blew me away with it's ease of use for the end user and quick, easy setup for the administrator. Factor that in with their cost-effective licensing and you have an instant winner.
The software has no features or lack of thereof.
They help you step-by-step when setting it up and after implementation. The best features is that it gives end-users multiple ways to self-service.
There are no features I dont like about the software.
The ability to store all our passwords on one space safe, for free and super easy to use. It integrates with most common browsers.
I found this software difficult to set up, difficult to learn to use, and complex to operate. Moreover, it has no emergency fallback if you lose your primary password.
It’s amazing what the opensource community has done with programs like Keepass. I came to KeePass as a sceptic and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy and straight forward it was to use.
No way to recover a lost or forgotten password. No way to synchronize across multiple PCs or Servers.
Good product where you can store your credentials and be ensure that they are in secure.
There is no multiuser functionality in this software, so I can't restrict passwords to certain users or have it restricted by AD account.
KeePass is a n amazing software, helps keeps all your passwords secure and it is reliable and been used organization wide.
Difficult to find defects and contraindications. A lot of features are available, I haven't been able to use them all.
Mike D.: Hi, my name is Mike. I'm a lead handshaker and I give KeePass a two out of five, and for more reviews like this, click below. In my day job, I travel all around the world and I need access to our different systems. So, our IT department gives me a KeePass file to be able to share with, how to access different areas of our intranet and infrastructure, and it's how I was onboarded. Because I am not working out of one of our physical office locations, they needed a way to onboard me and share passwords and URLs in a very secure environment. So, they sent me a computer with a KeePass file and KeePass pre-installed, and then from there on out, I use it to manage passwords and credentials. What I like about KeePass is that you're not relying on a third party service. You don't have to use a Cloud infrastructure, you can self host it on your own computer, which means you control the data, and that has a lot of privacy implications, especially with some of the other security considerations that we're reading about nowadays. What I dislike about KeePass is the user interface is pretty antiquated and it's not as intuitive as I would like it to be, and by default because it's hosted on my local computer, it doesn't have mobile apps and things like that, that some of the other competitors have.
