Reftab has been super flexible and very prone to help our business. We definitely have a before and after Reftab in term of quality of asset tracking.
On rare occasions it throws an error, but the errors are handled and displayed in the UI in a way which makes sense.
Everyone has been so helpful and flexible to tailor the program to work best for us. I would recommend this program to anyone who is looking to track all their assets have automated reports sent out.
I don’t have any Cons on the software because if I do find something missing the Reftab team is always available to try to find a way to get us what we are looking for.
Loved how there was a free trial, so we could see how it worked for free. Loved the software and ease of use.
Now, if I asked for something that no one would use, mileage could vary, but they respond quickly and really seem to understand my needs as a customer.
It's made a major difference in tracking our various assets into and out of our facility. Automated email reminders are great and definitely drive the assets back on time.
The range of labels supported is a little disappointing but they are adding additional labels going forward.
It was recommended to me by other people already using it and I see the potential, if set up correctly. I like the good customer care and prompt replies I got so far for any little question.
It is more of user-interaction design issue rather than a lack of services available on the platform.
The granularity of the system helps us to be confident that the assets are going out and coming back into the store in the right condition.
Additionally, the mobile website could be more user-friendly as students often use their phones to book equipment and complete risk assessments.
Suits the use within our environment as well as having a suitable App. The scope of the system and it's ability to be customised is also appealing.
Not all of this is the fault of the software, but it's specific suitability for how we work isn't quite right. Occasionally communications have dropped after an initial response.
I love using Smarthub, everything is so logical and easy to find and set up. If I do have an issue or a query support is really fast and helpful.
As counter facing staff we are also frequently questioned by students with complaints over their user experience, which is not fair considering our own daily tasks.
Bryan W.: My name is Bryan. I'm an IT specialist at Shopper Approved. We're company size of just under 50 employees. Reftab has been a great product and I'd give it an overall rating of a five. Prior to Reftab, we didn't have anything to manage inventory or do what Reftab does. It was a big problem trying to keep track of things, what equipment employees had. Reftab was able to help me track that information better. There's reason I chose Reftab, it's a great price for what you get. I looked at a handful of other options. Reftab gave me the best deal and offered the best features that was still a relatively early product and I could tell that they were working on it and it was fairly easy to get started and implement it. Reftab was very easy to implement into the business. They have a really nice function of being able to use QR codes for scanning in things, so I was able to... After adding several items into the list, I was able to create QR codes, which helped me just label things and then using that, I was able to input inventory as I went. They also have an agent that makes it really easy for adding new computers, and that way the agent will automatically pull various information like computer name, specs on the computer, things like that, and then you can go in after the fact and change it. If you're looking to implement Reftab into your business, a few things to consider is kind of your environment. The agent that they offer is only good for Windows machines for automatically uploading things and may not be great if you are trying to separate desktops and laptops and stuff because it can only be good for one sort of category. That's one thing I would like to see differently, but if otherwise, just know it's super easy to get started with it. They have a great user portal that your employees can use and you can even integrate services like I think Azure and other single sign-on stuff. You can even set it up to where you just sign in with Google, which is very easy to implement.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
