Appcues serves SaaS businesses from startups to the Fortune 500.
Running customer-facing onboarding and implementations for teams of all sizes. Must for SaaS businesses, IT Services, System Integrators, and Marketing Agencies.
Very pleasurable experience with learning to use the product and sharing it with our customers, to using the help desk, and getting help from support persons.
This has led to some frustrating moments or awkward presentations where I've struggled to get the app to behave. Overall, this hasn't been a large blocker to seeing success with the app.
Very happy with my experience. The team we worked with was great and very informative/helpful.
It's limited to relatively basic exports. This is particularly annoying when it comes to surveys done through Appcues.
It doesn't take much time to build impressive and effective experiences for customers. Best of all it allows me to provide the right assistance to my customers at the right time.
Not much, so I'll have to nitpick here. Sometimes when you're building a flow the buttons can lock and you'll have to refresh your page.
Overall I love Appcues and think they are in the right direction with continued innovation both on product development and thought leadership.
Difficult to use the checklist due to changing URLs within an application.
I love how intuitive the tool is and the UI is great too. Getting all the projects in one place makes it super helpful for the implementation teams.
It´s still missing a few features. I would for example like to order tasks in the project board by drag and drop.
I am also a big fan of the ability to integrate with other channels and the ability to be the single source of truth.
Initially, it was very frustrating, but after working with [sensitive content hidden.
Rocketlane feels very customisable and one of my favorite parts of the tool is the ease of collaboration. Live chat and thread-like features help you coordinate better.
The UX initially was very confusing. It does take some learning curve to reach a flow state in the UX but i think that comes with the complexity of the product.
Overall Experience is good. Good for project tracking and tasks tracking , better visibility of ongoing task and projects.
Our only concern is that our Salesforce integration needs a bit of work. The concern is not an issue with Rocketlane, it is just the pains of connecting two tools.
Jared D.: I'm Jared, a Customer Success Manager, and I would give Appcues a five out of five stars. For more reviews like this, click the link below. Before Appcues, we were using Intercom for our in-app messaging with our customers and decided to make the switch, because some limitations Intercom had in terms of how I could interact with customers and kind of walk them through the platform. We also looked at Pendo as an option in addition to Appcues, but Pendo we just found was a lot more expensive and pricey compared to Appcues. We chose Appcues for our business, because it was extremely simple to set up. All we had to do was send a piece of code to our developers and it was one-time install. So essentially from that point on, anytime that we were to make updates to Appcues or adding any new flows to any pages on our platform, we didn't have to reach out to our engineering team, we could do it all on our own. Also Appcues was, just for the price point compared to other solutions out there, it was one of the best for what we were getting back in return. We could pay about the same for it as we were for Intercom, but we got just a lot more functionality out of it in terms of being able to interact with customers where we can walk them through different pages of the platform and have them click on different links and different elements on different pages in our app, and just the ability to segment as well. That was probably the third thing. How we could target specific sets of users and we could trigger different Appcues to display on certain pages based on other interactions and based on whoever we were segmenting for based on specific demographics or history and things like that. Appcues was super simple to get set up. All we had to do was send a piece of code to our engineering team, and then they uploaded that into our platform in the backend. Once that was done, whenever we made updates, we added new flows or different Appcues throughout our platform. We could do all of it on our own, we didn't have to reach out to engineering team to do it for us, which was fantastic. So, it was really just kind of sitting down with it and taking the time to learn how to build out your different flows. Overall it was super intuitive, but it just did require some time, probably one to two hours just to really sit down without distractions and understand how you work through to build out an Appcue flow, and reading through their support documentation just to get a handle on how to best segment and set up an Appcue and different flows to actually execute them so that they're live. If you're considering Appcues for your business, I would first look at price. There are some other cheaper options out there, where if all you're really looking for is a way to have in-app messaging with your customers and you don't need to have as much interaction with them and actually walking them through different sections of your platform, then you might want to go with a cheaper solution out there. But if you're in a high growth phase of your company and you really want something that's hands-off where it can walk through and onboard customers quickly and automatically for you, and it would be a really seamless experience. So as soon as someone's logging your platform for the first time, it can walk them through and get their accounts set up for them. If you want to be low touch like that, but still give a great experience, then I would definitely consider Appcues. It's fantastic tool, our team has loved it and we just continue to build on it each and every day.
