Designed for small to large enterprises, it is a cloud-based contest management software that helps create quizzes, sweepstakes, photo contests and more.
The best part of the experience (not to take anything away from the software) has been your people. They have been amazing to work with and wouldn't have it any other way.
Sometimes our members have problems logging into OpenWater, even though we use a single sign on that should be tied to our membership database.
Amazing service - lightning quick responses...wow. Super helpful to have the judges watch videos right through the platform.
Split screen - lack of options to download the application as a pdf - need to be online to use this.
They put a great deal of effort into understanding our business needs to help us build programs that best take advantage of all the robust tools available through the platform.
Sometimes updating the website portion is difficult and you do need to know how to code/html coding.
The implementation was very fast and customer service is amazing. I have never before worked with a vendor that is this responsive.
We have experienced other, less-reliable entry software products in the past, so we know first-hand how bad things can be. But OpenWater has been our rock since Day One.
Woobox is an excellent platform to create polls, skill contests, quizzes, coupons, award management, social media contests etc. It is very reliable and has a simple and user-friendly interface.
Some of my giveaway participants in the past complained about Woobox not correctly tracking their entries.
It was great for data collection and I love that they have a free version to test out the program before you buy.
I didn't like that the contests were limited to 1000 participants a month. If you're running a larger contest, it's a bit frustrating to have a cut off for collecting their data.
More importantly Woobox team has a very good customer support system where their development team comes up with best solutions for their customers.
For voting fraud protection, you have to choose between Facebook Users and IP address restrictions.
Woobox has a pretty easy integration with Socials which is wonderful for hosting contest online.
There is absolutely no way of knowing exactly what the software can do unless you buy the thing.
Josh Y.: My name is Josh. I was a director of professional development. I implemented OpenWater. I would rate it at a four. And for more reviews like this, click below. Before we had OpenWater, we were doing everything manually through Excel spreadsheets and other means in collecting information. OpenWater was a solution to deal with grants management, our accreditation management, as well as awards management. It was this all-in-one solution that brought together all these things, and as a result, it definitely changed and brought us into a new realm technologically. We went with OpenWater because they had great customer service. They provided customization to our needs. And they claimed they could handle three different facets of our organization, grants, awards, and accreditation, and do so in a way that also provided increased customer service to our clients. OpenWater was really easy to get started with. They had a customer service manager who helped us to build our initial platforms and train our employees on developing an awards system. I was able to do it all by myself without any issues. We had a lot of struggles, though, in dealing with accreditation because accreditation is a very different system. And trying to adapt the way that OpenWater worked to that became a little bit problematic. But besides that, on the grant side and for developing awards, it was an excellent and super easy system to be using. If you're really considering getting OpenWater, I definitely say reach out to them directly. They have great staff, very personable. They will answer all of your questions. They will try to meet your needs, whatever they may be, in terms of grants and awards. The system is really quite flexible, and you can make it work for what you need. Just know that there's going to be some adapting in that process. But yes, just reach out to them, and they will be happy to assist you in anything that you need.
