We've sent a few different ecards while working remote and it has proven to be successful and appreciated. It's super easy to use, share, and send to the recipient virtually.
If there is empty space, perhaps the writing could automatically enlarge to fill the space or if there is another very short message, perhaps they could be put on the same page.
