Awardco vs Guusto: Which is a better fit?

Kimberley R.: Hi, my name is Kim. I am the director of Total Rewards. My organization, we have about 1100 associates. And rating Awardco, I'd give them a five. Prior to Awardco, we had O.C. Tanner, and had O.C. Tanner for decades. And they were just so antiquated, and it was very difficult. It wasn't like they were trying to expand our recognition opportunities with our associates, and so we did a little RFP, and Awardco came out on top and we've loved them ever since. Yeah, we chose Awardco mostly for the simplicity of the setup and how easy it is to add additional programs. We initially started with just service awards, and we've expanded that now. We use it now for holiday gifts, we do birthday cards and anniversary cards, and all that good stuff. We just recently rolled out peer-to-peer recognition with no monetary value. And for 2024, we're going to be adding manager recognition with monetary value. Okay, so let me just explain. We have very high turnover, and so part of the concern with the previous program is we were sending recognition things to people who had terminated. And so, the lovely part about Awardco, too, is we have a daily feed that goes to Awardco. So when we terminate somebody in our system, automatically their points get archived. So we're no longer recognizing terminated employees. That was a big selling point for us. So again, we have a daily feed and it's just really easy to set up new programs, and we had a great account manager that helped us roll out the initial program. Yeah. I would definitely tell them that if you need something simple, easy to administer, really, I could set up a new program in very little time. I can go in and look and see who's using the points, what they're using the points for. It's just a really easy program. Again, that daily feed for us is critical because of our turnover. I would just say definitely make sure you look at Awardco if you're looking to change your recognition program.

What I use Guusto for is to make sure that my clients are appreciated. So I chose Guusto because of the location aspect of this particular software app, is when you want to reward someone or run a contest in different areas of the world, you want to make sure that the person that you're sending, or the person that's going to win, I should say, is able to find a gift certificate of their choice, or me as a business owner, can find a gift certificate to a local business where they live so they can support community. And that's really important to me as a business owner. I love to connect, I love to collaborate, and I love to build communities. So this Guusto app is a game changer. Guusto was very easy to implement into my business. It actually was recommended to me from a friend and fellow business owner. You signed on to the website, you created your program or created your login information, filled out all the particulars, uploaded your method of payment that you wanted to charge when the gift certificates were curated. It was super easy actually to personalize it. There was an application in there where you filled out the person's name, address, a little word of encouragement or congratulations, to be able to upload my company logo into there to really make it a personalized experience. And this was important to me, because nobody likes just to receive a gift certificate. That personal connection and that message, super important to me. And able to track too, that's important, because there's nothing worse than giving a gift and you don't know the person has picked it up. So the application on the desktop, super easy to get started, and I highly recommend it. So I'm going to ask you, are you an event planner? Are you a coordinator? Are you somebody that is in charge of making sure that your employees feel appreciated and your customers feel appreciated? I would say get Guusto. Get Guusto because you will elevate yourself to others. Also, what I would use it for is if you've got to run, like I mentioned before, a contest, if you wanted to run an incentive for one of your employees, if you wanted to just make people feel appreciated for birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, even their starting of their job. What a great way to send them a little coffee card to one of the national chains in order for them to feel appreciated and enter your team. It's a great way to build up people and lift them up anywhere you're able to use the Guusto software app.
