Day nurseries looking to streamline daily operations and child care.
I love how easy it is to use, both with the kiosk signing kids in and out and with the enrollment/billing process. The ability to pay online for families has been so helpful and out families love it.
We also had issues with how to bill parents as my policy charges for what they schedule and your program charges for what they attend. We are working on it with our rep though.
I have been using the app since over 6 months and I like it a lot. It's a great app to get real-time updates about your child at day care and allows you to view the bills as well.
I wish there were report that I used to use on Childcare Manager. I miss the emergency report that would print out children in attendance and emergency contacts for fire drills.
The one thing I like the most from Smartcare is the flexibility or ease to send multiple pictures to parents and the communication to all the parents who are active.
I have had more problems with this than I can probably list. I have installed/uninstalled the app on my phone several times due to it not working properly.
Another amazing feature is the ability to print reports for attendance, billing, and other items.
Customer support is not helpful, they talk to you more like you're an idiot than anything. The reports make no sense, especially the monthly statement (OMG the monthly statement is horrible).
Kaliani C.: Hi, I'm Kali. I am an intake specialist at a benefits advocacy group, and I rate Smartcare a five. I use Smartcare daily to sign my children in and out of their daycare facility. I also use it to communicate with their teachers, to stay posted up to date with them. And I also do pay my weekly tuition for my children. I like the Smartcare app because it is super convenient. And you do get your updates pretty quickly. Upon signing the children in, it's almost immediately shown that the children were signed in and who they're signed in by. And I also love that it's a one-stop shop. You can also pay the tuition through the app. You don't have to personally go to the facility and pay them. You can just do it all right through the app. The one thing I would say that I don't like about the Smartcare app, it's a minor detail. It's just a little bit of lag when teachers send updates, it'll take just a couple hours or maybe even minutes to post. But other than that, the app is just fine.
