Patriot Accounting vs AccountEdge: Which is a better fit?

Compared to some of the bigger names out there in the accounting world, Patriot does it all at an amazing price point, with a super easy interface, and excellent customer support.

Then I found out the fees charged by my bank and decided against using that feature.

I love the name, and love that it can produce my payroll easily. Every interaction with one of your employees has been successful and satisfactory.

If you have accrued liabilities, They use "modified cash basis" which it also odd vs. Cash Basis. No Statement available to send out to customers.

It's ease of use has been amazing. It does everything that a small business owner like myself would need.

Having to run payroll 5 days before is frustrating.

I love Patriot for my payroll and taxes and so I really like brand most of all. Customer service is good too.

Adjusting to a new style of format is my problem not patriots.

I like the ease of use and that certain features are very versatile , like I can create an invoice for either a service or an “item” sale and switch back and forth with ease.

I had already gotten Quicken and was lost from the start. I didn't even install it to my computer, it was so confusing.

I like the ease of use, clean interface, payroll liability payments and other features, like recurring transactions, that are similar to Quickbooks. Price is fair and support is helpful.

Could have even more features; some reports / features lost after year closing, historical data of past fiscal year could be difficult to retrieve.

I have been using AccountEdge for over 10 years now, and am overall pleased with their product. It is great for product based businesses.

Poor customer support with issues. Unable to input payroll tax tables manually.

Ease of use, low cost, very robust, multiuser, quick response, secure, excellent support and accessibility.

Trying to find prior years' transactions is costly and a huge pain.
