Our experience was TERRIBLE. The EA team held the org's data hostage, prolonged the process of migration, and made the customer pay for extra months that they didn't need because of EA's delay.

We are a relatively small nonprofit that serves young people experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City, and I give Bonterra five out of five stars. Before we used Bonterra, we used a combination of spreadsheets and an online fundraising tool called Network for Good. Bonterra requires some focus set up, but it was easy and I had support from their staff as well as tons of resources in their resource library and help center that made set up and getting started really easy. For someone else considering Bonterra, I would ask yourself, do you need a single solution that has really powerful data tools? Then I think Bonterra is right for you. If you're an organization that is growing into the grants management space or into major giving, and you need something a little bit more grown up than your organization has been using, then I think Bonterra is for you, and those are my recommendations.
