In the first instance, It was provided as a flexible benefit as people can select what they want from it, but also for recognition (e-cards and instant reward).
The reporting is a bit hit and miss, the data is there the reports just don't run sometimes.

No major dislikes, a few teething issues but these were resolved quickly by Xexec.
Xexec Applause was recently rolled out at my company to encourage recognition of employees and colleagues in a new and improved format which makes it easier to reward and praise colleagues.
Again, we've brought this to the team over a dozen different times over our usage of the platform and have never gotten a satisfactory answer on why their product is faulty almost half the time.
Flexible, easy to use with a great app. Our colleagues engage with this software more than any other Benefit offering we have.
Some products are not as smooth to use - SmartBlogs; we have' Manager' and 'All' smart blogs, sometimes one message needs to go to both but there is no way just to tick a box on the platform.
Also any time I've had a request, like adding our company's font, or duplicating a handbook (to save time me creating another similar one from scratch) customer support has been super helpful.

I found out about Reward Gateway at the SHRM National Convention in the vendor hall, and I thought that it was a very well-thought-out and easy reward system and would really work out for our organization. We chose Reward Gateway because of their customer service model. We also chose them because of their selection of rewards offered, and we chose them because they could integrate with our HRIS, as well as we could do our own swag store with them. Getting started with reward Gateway was very easy. We pretty much only had to have an Excel spreadsheet and upload that, and they did everything on the backend, so it was a very easy lift on our end. The advice I would give is to make sure you understand how the invoicing system works versus giving out rewards so that you don't run out of money before you're invoiced.
