Designed for architects, designers, engineers, project managers, real estate developers, students, construction professionals who want to create precise 2D and 3D drawings.
My overall experience it great. It is an asset to our company, helping with scheduling, coordination, and production.
The only thing I can say negative is when writing a comment on my report, the font size automatically go’s to size 16 which I find rather small. I generally use size 30 which is more ledgible.
Easy to use, awesome interface and a awesome tool to track the progress and billing on any job site.
Errors in reading sheet titles for uploaded drawing sets.
The ability to have access to all the information supplied to the team, with the ease of access from mobile devices. Its almost better than having the actual paper version.
The most difficult thing to do in Fieldwire is to make handwritten notes or draw sketches on a plan using the pencil/drawing tool. The tool is extremely choppy.
Their customer service is friendly and helpful to deal with. If you are in construction management I would give them a try and see if you like it.
Fieldwire also has no text search function, which is another basic feature of any other software I've used.
It's a powerful tool to design projects, works perfect in 2D and 3D, comprehensive software system. I like its universality, data exchange with partners and suppliers is easy and reliable.
Also, working with old versions that work under bad standards generates many errors in the CAD, and sometimes it is difficult to eliminate them (lines, references, etc.).
It's easy to use, it's the best software for the interior design and planning. Easy to use tools, exact measurements with proper sizing makes this software the best of its kind.
The main disadvantage of the tool is that it has so many features that they become difficult to find.
What I like the most about this software is its ease and simplicity to understand and work, for a beginner it is a very good tool to learn.
Sometimes i got an error while running this application and it did not allow me to force closed. Sometimes this makes me frustrated.
Our design teams love the product and it's a necessity for them. I love the ease of the admin portal and the impressive customer service we get from the support team.
Integration with other softwares on autocad is difficult, it can be hard to set up dimensions when you are just beginning.
Marcellous W.: Hi, my name is Marcellous. I'm an HR and safety manager, and I rate Fieldwire five out of five. For more information, click below. Before we started using Fieldwire, we didn't have anything that we were using. It was more ball, pen and paper, trying to track daily production and whatnot, mostly text messages, and that's just not the way to do things. Some of the reasons why we chose Fieldwire, one was the price point on this, which was definitely in our budget. We liked it because we can scan in system prints or any kind of schematic showing the scope of work that we were working on. And then you can digitally track it, kind of like an as-built, so you can see where you're at and where you need to finish. And then, once the job is complete, you can still store it there or archive it there, if later on that you need to reference it for anything. That was another good tool to have. As far as getting Fieldwire up and running, it's pretty user-friendly. I mean, it's just a matter of a couple of clicks. You log in and you go to that particular project that you need to view, and there it is. If you need to create a new project, I mean, it's very, user-friendly. Click a button here, type in what you want to call that project, and off you go. Pretty user friendly. I would recommend. The mobility of this app is very good. In the field of construction that I'm in, when you're out in the field and you're looking at the scope of work for this particular project that you're working on, you can follow, stream right along on the app. As well as if you need to take specific photos of something that's on the project, say, a hazard or damage or something, you can store it right in the project on the app, and not on your phone or on your tablet, which is really good. If you need to reference any of those photos, you can go right to that particular project and they're there, and they'll stay there until you delete them. So, those are some of the features that I like, the reason why I would recommend someone to it.
Swapnil: My name is Swapnil. I'm an architect. And I give AutoCAD a score of five out of five. For more reviews, click down here. We use AutoCAD in our company, me personally for working on architectural projects, mainly creating drawings on large-scale projects as well as small-scale projects. The problems that we generally are solving with AutoCAD are to do with checking surveys, 3D surveys, as well as 2D surveys, and measuring distances on all of these drawing elements. I love AutoCAD because of the speed. Unlike other tools which offer 3D features, AutoCAD is fast, it is quick to load. It is very smooth, and the toolset is unique as well as powerful enough to get each and any job done every time. The only thing that I don't really like or would like Autodesk to improve upon is adding more 3D features into AutoCAD. There's already a toolset called AutoCAD Architecture, but I feel it needs to be a little bit more evolved to show a little bit more realistic elements because all the other softwares are moving to that stage.
