Nonprofits using peer-to-peer fundraising.
Donorbox supports over 100K+ global organizations and individuals, including non-profits, charities, schools, churches, open-source projects, and medical research groups.
What I like most about DonorDrive is their responsiveness and willingness to improve the donor and participant experience on the platform.
If using another one, they lose their history. Reporting is weak and limited, especially when I have to create more than one report because of a lack of choices.
They have always been great about helping us to understand the roadmap that they are building against and see where are needs can fit into that roadmap.
This is not specific to me as a user, but I do get a lot of complaints from grandparents that the program is hard to use. I don't feel it is a DonorDrive problem, more of a generation gap.
The integration of data throughout the various parts of the platform is excellent, offering some good cross-reference and dynamic display with donors/participants, goals reached, etc.
It's always a point of confusion, and if they miss that one link, they're registering as a new participant and they get mad because the system tells them their email is already in use.
The ability to create and manage multiple events and transactions is great. Also being able to pull reports on the fly is pretty nice.
It is truly a negative that it sometimes takes days for a minor correction to be made by the developers. The fact that I can no longer send emails out is a problem.
Fantastic, I've worked with 3 other donation platforms and this one is by far the best value, best experience for me as an admin, and best experience for our donors.
Money was held for a long time, may have cost me the election as a small grassroots candidate. Stripe fees were also terrible.
The more I use it, the more I appreciate it's powerful reporting, ability to segment supporters and the fact it can be integrated into other packages like Zapit.
Having to define my business and name an Executive Person was complex - and loading a .pdf for a utility bill kept failing (I had to make it a .jpg!).
Ease of creating campaign pages. Donor managementeasy to pull reportsrecurring donation portal is super helpful set upflow of site is easyvery responsive support team.
I would also settle for some sort of phased fee structure. As much as I like running no charges for months when we raise less than $1000, if we raise $1001 we get charged 1.5% for the full amount.
Donorbox can be used directly or as accessed through our website. The implementation was a piece of cake thanks to the superb support and great documentation.
Limited in features to be fully functional with more current needs.
Anna: Hi. I'm Anna, the creative designer with Our Simply Design, and I used Donorbox and would rate it five stars. Before Donorbox, we used the typical credit card apps, Stripe, Square, all of those things, but they felt very impersonal and you were charged a fee. So even when the client gave you a great amount, you still lost a tiny bit, and that's money being taken from your nonprofit. And we wanted the chance to take all of the money that our clients were giving us to get back to our nonprofits. So Donorbox gives you that option, and it's a great way to get all the money out there for your nonprofits and let the client choose how much they want to help and give to you. So as a website designer, one of my clients came to me and said, "Hey, can we add Donorbox to our website?" And I said, "Of course." So I added it, and as I did that, I did a lot more research about Donorbox because I don't want to use something that might cause problems later down the line with the website, and really loved all the great features that it offered, how personal it is, that you can set up a little web landing page with your event and have them donate to you. And it just felt personal and real, and that's what you want with the connection for your nonprofit. Donorbox, easy setup, easy to start, easy to implement, easy for your clients to use. Easy is the word, and it's not just me saying that as a web designer, but as a human being who has to learn the new technologies quickly. Donorbox was an easy fit for me and for my clients. No training really involved. We just set it up and go. If you're thinking about using Donorbox, give it a try. You're not going to regret using it, having your customers use it. It's user-friendly, easy to use, easy to set up, and you'll be glad that you did.
