Designed for legal businesses of all sizes, Lawcus is a practice management software that helps automate legal processes from client intake to billing while saving you up to 8hrs/week.
Law firms and attorneys.
It's modern in function and appearance, fairly easy to use, and the customer support is FANTASTIC. I switched from Clio to this software because I like all the customizations.
Unlike most programs, which are (poor) billing software with other (poor) things built around it, Lawcus is a CRM and Project Management tool.
I like Lawcus and I recommend trying it out. I found Lawcus innovative, useful and at the same time very easy to use.
The interface can be somewhat confusing and cluttered at times, making it difficult to navigate and find certain features.
The customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful. I don't have anything other than great things to say about Lawcus.
I think integration with zappier to the lead management part of the software is missing.
They are quickly responsive, dedicated to ongoing improvement, and overall incredibly helpful. We highly recommend Lawcus.
Missing simple functions long embodied in the practice of law and practice management software (e.g. tickle).
The software does offer the ability to do many things that are customary and specific to your firm. The ease of use is appealing, as you can manipulate the system to work as you intend it to work.
It is horrible to use, horrible to deal with PC Law, tech support often has 50+ people in the cue trying to get support. Tech support took 2+ weeks to respond to a problem with the activation code.
This is an excellent legal billing and accounting platform. Custom billing templates is a powerful tool, and creating invoices is a breeze.
On a regular basis there is data corruption such as : Zero balance on a GST/HST repot; wrong numbers in Accounts receivable; Client files gone missing.
Its reporting functionality was excellent. It's timekeeping and billing functions (including ability to generate LEDES bills for e-billing systems) handled everything we needed.
When called, PC Law said they were aware of problem. Problem not posted on its list of known defects.
The customer service department has always been helpful and nice.
There were flaws in the software that made visible accounting errors which could not be corrected.
Martin A.: Hello, my name is Martin. I'm an attorney. I give PCLaw five stars. For more information, see below. Prior to using PCLaw, we were using other applications, including Tabs3 and a hybrid system where we were entering data into Word, and then importing it into QuickBooks. We found that neither of these methods really met our needs. They were difficult to use unwieldy and found it difficult to train our support staff in making the use of them effectively. We decided that the best solution for our needs would be to use PCLaw. I'd use PCLaw at a prior law firm and I found it very easy to pick up on and it had a tremendous amount of features, not just for entering billing, of course, but also for keeping track of productivity of the other attorneys and support staff. And we also found that the price of it was within our means and found it to be very cost-effective. I'd had some background with it. So I was able to personally train the support staff. If they did have any questions afterwards, they can either come to me or they could access the online help feature of PCLaw. Of all the billing applications I've used or researched it, it does seem to be the most user-friendly, it has a lot of customization features, and it integrates well with other software applications.
