Extremely frustrating. We have been using this App for three years and have expressed our frustrations, yet nothing seems to improve. The app could be great if Guidebook would listen to their customers and make needed adjustments.

Pros

That it interfaces with Open water so that we can use one system to plan and run our conference. Once the app has been downloaded and the attendee manages to log in (which is a horrible mess) it is easy for attendees to use.

Cons

The invite-only feature is horrible. We would like only those who have registered for our conference to have access, but the whole process of having to click a link in an email to log in creates huge issues when some phones block the link. We should be able to upload the emails of the registered attendees, and they should be able to log in and create their own password without having to click on links in emails. Also, we should have the option of downloading QR codes for each attendee to be placed on conference badges so that attendees do not have to have their phone to be scanned into a session. Attendees should be able to see what sessions they have been scanned into. We or attendees should be able to print their certificates of attendance directly from Guidebook instead of us having to download all of the attendance information, organize it, create a system to create the certificates and then email them out.

Overall Guidebook has been one of the best programs we've used. Each year we find a feature that helps to make our NSO less stressful and more impactful.

Pros

I really loved the convenience of having one location to place all of our event agendas, maps, surveys, advertisements, reminders, etc. so that our parents and students could find them all when needed. It helped to keep them on schedule during our New Student Orientation as well as gave them a place to find answers to the majority of the FAQ's that would have bombarded our administrative offices. It also reduced the traffic of "lost" individuals on our campus with the map feature.

Cons

There were a few technical issues we had when trying to upload our agenda, however we reached out to technical support and they were efficient and extremely helpful. We were able to resolve them in no time.

Copying over the old guide was not as seamless as I expected, but easily fixed by customer support.

Pros

The Guidebook mobile app is the perfect tool for managing our academic conference! Very easy to input information, and organize our 40+ sessions in one day, and the college community loves using it!

Cons

Make the edit button much more prominent - its buried in 3 little dots, in an obscure place!

I like that is user friendly, handable for non IT administrator (I'm in MKT) and is free to create and navigate as a host and the value or charge is for quantity of users

Pros

Guidebook is very useful when hosting a conference. The attendees are able to see offered workshops, take notes, and connect with colleagues.

Cons

Guidebook was somewhat expensive for our non-profit organization since we only used it for a few of our large-scale events/conferences. However, the staff was willing to work with us to get the best deal.
