We serve small businesses and solo business owners.
Our program is catered towards portrait photographers, wedding photographers, and artists.
An EXCELLENT application that allows for organization and ease of use. Not only does it allow for detailed and simple organization, the visual appeal and agreeability is high.
Sometimes the issue is with the actual software and blaming me for the problem just takes the conversation in circles.
Great features, such as e-signatures capabilities and lead capture. Chat support is also usually available and pretty helpful.
It sucks when it comes to project management for production companies.
The automation of follow up invoicing is brilliant. This software does so much more than just accounting for your financials.
Eventually, I gave up because there was so much to learn. It was a complete waste of my time and money.
We like that it is very easy to get quotes to our customers and easy for customers to say yes. Most of the time we send a quote we get a yes.
I cannot speak to anyone on the phone which was extremely frustrating. All the learning is through videos and I think the videos are well done, however, I prefer a more personal approach.
Very happy with the service and would recommend to anyone running a photography business that needs help staying on top of things.
Inquiries get lost because they are not marked as "answered" in the client portal. I hate that I have to create an entire workflow just to send client a contract.
I love how easy it is to use and how professional it looks to my clients. I also like that it's a Mobil friendly site.
No more wasting time copying and pasting emails and then checking my "sent" email messages to see if I actually did what I was supposed to. I literally could go on and on and on.
This software is amazing for photographers. I love the interface and how I can set up different workflows for clients.
Lack of communication about features and when they are supposed to be released.
Love that it has a location feature, other sites do not have this. I also love that you can customize your client profiles with pictures and the ease of the client questionnaires.
One time, Iris-Works had a glitch and would not load. I tried to contact them to see how long it would take to get the program up and running, but I had trouble reaching anyone by phone/email.
Wesley: Hi, my name is Wesley and I own a photography business. We do a wide variety of portraiture and wedding events, and I give 17hats five out of five. What I ended up doing was using a lot of free apps, which just caused headache, and so I ended up switching to 17hats and I never looked back. So I chose 17hats because they offer a wide variety of features. I liked being able to manage my clients, do my bookkeeping, do invoice management, all of that under one roof, and then they've added the ability to be able to do contact forms on your website. There's a client portal that they can log in and see their documents with you. You can just do a lot of different things. And so, to me, that just made the value of what you get with the subscription with them that much more. Getting started with 17hats was pretty painless. Just log in. You have to customize some things and upload your logo and that type of stuff, but it was pretty easy to do. As with any piece of software, you have to keep in mind there is a little bit of learning curve as you figure out where things are and how things work, but you're going to run into that anywhere. So I would say overall it was pretty painless and easy to use. I would definitely recommend you first think about what it is that you need in a piece of software, so that you can identify and verify that the software is going to do what you need it to do.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
