The onboard was super helpful. They seem like they really care that we get the most of the product.
Difficult time identifying missing submissions.
I've had overall great experience and I've been using Submittable about 5 years. I like accessing a real customer service rep in the old days, and I like the older version of Submittable better.
The only real downside was in terms of features/functionality; Submittable does not offer automated initial screening of applications.
Tracking the progress of my submissions is amazing. Everything is there and I don't have to chart it on a separate document.
But these are more feature ideas, nothing that I'd consider negative about the existing product.
I like how user-friendly this software is - the customization of applications is great with the build your own features.
It's always when the publisher/competition requests its use. I have no reason to use it beyond that.
It's easy to copy competitions for a new semester/year. The ability to customize notifications that are sent automatically is great, as is the ability to export application data to Excel.
Inability to edit questions after the launch of a competition.
Easy to implement, great customer support during implementation, great online help articles and training videos.
Each project is given a new ID number if they resubmit and it's frustrating to track and find and associate them together.
The product is easy to use overall, and does a pretty good job of allowing us to create and manage internal competitions. It’s best feature is it’s ease of use for the price.
It is not user friendly, sometimes difficult to negative. Difficult to find archived competitions.
This is pretty user friendly and the IT help has been great. They always answer my questions quickly and help me.
Now it has become so feature-rich that you can sometimes miss some of the functionality because there is so much there.
Maiah R.: Hi. My name is Maiah. I work for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. We are a foundation of over 800 employees, and I would give Submittable a four out of five. I use Submittable to manage our scholarship application process. While Submittable is typically used to manage financial grants, we have applicants apply to the Bob and Marion Teacher Institute Foundation scholarships for our summer program, so we're able to collect the data of what state they're from, what grade level they teach, and what program they're interested in. What I like the most about Submittable is the flexibility I have with it. I'm able to create different paths that I can do the, if you answer yes to this question, then they get a whole new set of questions. If they answer no to a certain question, it'll skip 12 things. That saves them time and headaches. The few things I dislike about Submittable is occasionally it confuses itself and it doesn't follow those paths 100% of the time that I tell it to set. And occasionally that can cause a little bit of confusion for our applicants, but it's a pretty easy fix.
