Individual music teachers, and studios with multiple teachers, who need affordable, easy to use software, to manage the core aspects of their teaching business.
Tutoring companies, both agencies and tutoring centres that wish to automate and minimise most administrative tasks, as well as expand their business and increase profit.
I love that it keeps me really organized and have everything in one place. The customer service is outstanding.
Some confusing ways of achieving things, quite roundabout at times. No thought gone into group classes and multiple teachers assigned to groups as is norm in most schools.
As I said, we don't seem to want to use all aspects of this site, but the ones we use I find very good. And especially, if I ask for help, the quality of help is outstanding.
Apart from that I can't think of any feature that i personally am missing, or others could possibly need.
This is a wonderful software program for music teachers. Overall I appreciate the program and customer service is wonderful.
It is expensive for everything it offers and makes access difficult for anyone who is just starting their study will not be able to acquire it.
My Music Staff has really helped me streamline my business. It's so intuitive and easy to use, the interface looks so nice and inviting and my students love it too.
The auto-generated lesson fee feature is a bit confusing for me (showing a balance owed for lessons which haven't occurred) but even more so for the students.
This software is super affordable and is a bargain when considering all of the extra features that you receive.
The software does not work intuitively. Options are difficult to find and are not where a client expects them to be.
I also appreciate that you can customize reports for sessions by targeting specific areas for feedback that our tutors and coaches fill out. This helps us increase our quality of service.
I dislike the way that if you make a mistake on the invoicing you cannot remove it unless you change the date parameters.
The support team is always available and very responsive. And for the price, TutorCruncher is an amazing investment.
The biggest downside to using this software is the fact that I can not host it on my own domain.
I like that this software organizes our clients and students better than before. I like being able to run our invoice and payment through it as well.
Editing repeating lessons can be confusing and unintuitive.
Adam: Hi, my name's Adam. I'm a music school director, and I would give My Music Staff a five out of five rating. For more reviews like this, click below. So before I was using my music stuff I was using a mixture of Trello and also a mixture of Google Sheets. And to be honest, I needed a software that could do everything. So organized teachers' timetables, but do some of the accounting and some of the invoicing. And so those really weren't cutting it, and also the timetables were just super messy. And so actually to have a software that had everything all in one was awesome. Another reason and feature I really liked about My Music Staff was the online resources. The fact that we could stick all of our resources and books and all our music material on those places that our students had access to all the time. No more kind of running out of sheet music or homework getting eaten by the dog, we now had a chance to just send digital sheets to our students so they always had access to those resources. So the transition, moving away from what we were using for My Music Staff was pretty simple. There's lots of FAQs on their website that really helped. And they also had really good support staff that could answer questions as and when I had them. So, it was pretty seamless. So yeah, it's great. If you are an independent music teacher or if you are even just a small school like us, I would highly recommend My Music Staff. It's just got all the resources you need in kind of one package, and that's why I love using it. I don't have to use different setups and different programs and different softwares to do the one job that I can do with My Music Staff.
Speaker 1: Hey, my name's David. I'm the owner and COO, and I would give TutorCruncher five stars, and you can click below for more reviews like this. Prior to signing up with TutorCruncher, we were managing everything through Google Sheets and Excel spreadsheets just manually, and we just couldn't keep track of the growing complexity. And ultimately it was just limiting the growth of our business by not having a sufficient management system. We chose TutorCruncher after a long, almost 12-month period of trialing different softwares, and it was actually the first one we tried. And then after trialing about a dozen other softwares, we came full circle back to it and ultimately the choice came down to their pricing model, which takes a percentage rather than a flat fee based on number of tutors or things like that, which just didn't make sense for our company. And then also, I think TutorCruncher really creates an environment that is editable and manageable so you can adapt it to the needs of your business while still not being clunky and awkward and having a huge learning curve. So a lot of the other ones we trialed were so simplistic and elegant that they didn't meet our needs, or they were so cumbersome and complex. Yeah, getting started with TutorCruncher felt a little intimidating, just to onboard a company to a new management software. But the only awkward part was distance because they're based out of the UK. But the team over there was super responsive with email chats, video calls, just to provide really whatever support we needed as we ran into roadblocks and we're trying to learn how to kind of get up to speed and get fluent with the software. I would recommend definitely trialing out a few different management softwares out there just to see which one meets the needs for your business, but if you're a mid-size and growing tutoring company, I can't think of a better software than TutorCruncher.
