Camayak vs OpenSponsorship: Which is a better fit?

Camayak publishes our approved content directly to any number of sites and makes it clear what everyone is working on (or should be) at all times. Great for speeding up communication, too.

The fact that only editors can post to our Townnews website and the process it's difficult. Adding and taking out reporters from assignments is difficult at times.

The workflow that is set up is one of the easiest to use and makes training students on this software a breeze. Really love its capability with wordpress and communications in the workflow process.

We publish a magazine focused on wildland fire for fire scientists and professional fire managers. Many of our writers are unaccustomed to editorial workflow.

The management system is quite good for managing lots of collaborators that publish in many platforms. Multiple collaborations and publishing to more than one site is very easy with Camayak.

Ease of use and customer service are outstanding.

Additionally, most accounts are managed by agents, so they are totally useless since they are very editorial and there is no "social" component. Most features are incomplete, broken or very limiting.

Wide variety of opportunities to reach out and be reached out to. Customer service is amazing as well, fairly quick responses and extremely friendly support.

OpenSponsorship is the best platform I have found to connect with brands and businesses and get amazing sponsorship deals.

Many agents or higher-paid athletes tried to negotiate higher rates. Not a critically bad thing, but sort of annoying to deal with.

I really love the feature of having your own detailed profile with personal information and channels. It helps show sponsors who you are and what you do.

The search tool didn't always get the results I wanted, but that was difficult to know if it was because the athletes I was looking for weren't on the platform or if the search was busted.
