It is so irritating having to use the mouse for the essential functions.
I love being able to load the Blueprints and navigate the Blueprints using this software. The ease of use makes it extremely easy to sort pages, highlight layouts and design from the pages.
The only Con is you are charged by user. If you have a single account Only one person can be logged on.
We are super pleased with STACK and the staff members. Initially, learning a new product can be challenging but the training team assured our success with its elaborate and precise training.
Sometimes we run into problems loading blueprints when more than one user is on the same account.
We've used Stack for almost two years. The product itself is amazing and the customer support is equally amazing.
Pricing structure is little bit restrictive. We do not need most of the feature that we currently pay for, but there is no option not to pay for the whole package.
This product is easy to use, great time saving for sending invitations to subcontractors, it has a great data of subcontractors too.
It can be embarrassing how some employees have been terminated from their companies but on Building Connected they are my point of contact so I ask for them and get that bad news.
It is the best "software" on the market. With the integration into the whole Autodesk family, BuildingConnected is definitely the best "bang for your buck.
I dislike that subcontractors who view the ITB can close it and do not have to confirm their intent, thus wasting a lot of time when we have to call "non-responders.
Great solution and platform for storing all project information that is necessary for bidding, giving Subcontractors and vendors the ability to see and view all of the information very easily.
Many subcontractors struggle to use the software. It seems as if 1/3 to 1/2 of contacted subs do not get the message or do not respond.
The ease of use for both the GC and our subcontractors. Like that as a team we can view bids as they are submitted as well as see questions and the appropriate person is then able to respond quickly.
We cannot edit the sub trade information in the software directly whenever we come across or find errors.
Quentin O.: Okay. My name is Quentin. My job title is Estimator/Senior QS. We have around 30 employees, and my rating for STACK is four out of five. We use it for a combination of things, but primarily we use it for measuring and estimation purposes. So if we're tendering jobs, if we're pricing variations, if we're monitoring changes. I find it quite useful for construction changes during the course of construction where the architects may or may not bubble changes and we can put the overlays in place, and things that have changed distinctly will then flash red. So it's very useful for that as well. Identifying changes in the full construction set, because again, sometimes the architects will just issue a full construction set and not tell you that there are changes from the tender set, so then we can price and pick up those changes accordingly. I like the fact that it's browser-based, so it's web-based. I can use it from anywhere in the world. That is probably the single most useful feature that it has, or the way it's been constructed. Probably from my point of view, the single feature I dislike the most is that it's American-based and that everything defaults to imperial rather than metric. It's easy to overcome, or relatively easy to overcome, but everything does default to imperial rather than metric. And if you haven't got your settings right, then every time you upload things, then it will default. That's probably my single biggest pet hate.
Wayne R: Hi, my name's Wayne. I'm the senior estimator for a general contractor. I would rate BuildingConnected at a four out of five. And for more reviews, quick below. Okay. Previously, we used Dropbox. We used to email individual subs for requests, for quotes. Very time consuming. We looked at what we were using currently and decided that the payback time for the time savings would be very short. Okay. It was fairly simple to get familiar with the software and start to utilize it in an efficient manner. I would say that if you're looking for a cost savings as far as time to invite subcontractors and suppliers to quote on your project, it is very beneficial to use this software.
