Lack of API makes integrations nearly impossible.
Any small issues are resolved quickly and the support is amazing. I feel like I gained a few friends while going through the process of changing it over and learning how to set it up and use it.
Limited auto-email integration means more manually sending of emails to customers.
We have used this software for almost 5 years and have been thrilled with it. Their customer service team is top notch and are very passionate.
Integration with third-party apps or other CRM or EHRs is limited however the team is constantly assessing and adding new features as demand dictates.
My experience with Helmbot and their team has been quite amazing. They are always there to help or listen to any ideas you may have about their system.
The biggest thing we don't like about Helm is the Mobile side. I think this has lots of room to grow.

I was unable to delete my account and had difficulty getting a hold of a rep to delete the account. I never received any calls other than for sexual inquiries and a TON OF SPAM EMAIL AND CALLS.
I love the automated emails and the ability to create promotions, and the marketing aspect is very helpful to me as someone just starting out on my own.

User display of your schedule is hard to read. Hard to tell at a galnce how long a scheduled session is, esp. on a mobile device.

Before I chose home HelmBot I did look at other software packages and contact retention management program, such as Mindbody and Acuity, and there was a free one that I looked at. They just weren't adequate, I knew for what I needed. They weren't as integrative as I wanted them to be. One of them was so big, I didn't trust that I could get the specialized care I knew I needed for my industry, and HelmBot was the natural choice. The reason I chose HelmBot initially was because I knew who the developers were, they were flip centers owners. They were committed to the nice, smooth running of a flotation tank center. I think they've expanded beyond float centers at this point. But six years ago, when I started my business, that was really all they handled. I can book my appointments, I can integrate with my website, I can do everything on my phone. It not only keeps track of my appointments, it keeps track of my retail sales, it keeps track of the metrics on my flotation tank. So I know I can enter how much water I've added, how much salt I've added, how many chemicals I've added, and everything I need to know. I can keep track and see through reports how my tanks, the health of my tanks are doing, nobody else offered that. I mean, everything from taxes to reports, to keeping track of my customers and sending up follow-up letters, it's all there. The people behind HelmBot made it really easy to get started. I am not computer native and I'm the learning curve. So they were very patient with me, and whenever I had a question, they answered it right away. They had some videos, just a few videos, now they have many more For training and I really appreciated that. If you are a flotation tank center owner, I don't think there's a choice, I mean, get HelmBot. If you are a spa or a beauty shop or whatever, another industry, get HelmBot. The people are responsive. They are real people. They're not some huge corporation. They are a small company that really cares. I just don't think you could make a better choice. HelmBot is the only software package I will ever use.
Joyce A.: Hi. I'm Joyce. I'm the owner of Lake George Massage and Day Spa, and I'm here to give MassageBook a five-star rating. Before MassageBook, we went with a company called MOPRO, which was, at the time, many, many years ago, an excellent company. It was brand new. It was starting off. And we figured because it was a massage professional who wrote the program, that we were going to go with that, and we did. Unfortunately, the gentleman who owned the place actually passed away. So we had to search for another company, and MassageBook just happened to come up in our books that we had hanging around our lobbies, and we saw MassageBook advertised in some of the magazines. They had SOAP notes, which were very important to our business at the time. We were doing insurance forms, and they have the perfect SOAP notes for us to be able to submit them, and it was excellent and a no-brainer. None of the other companies actually had that at the time. And we've been with MassageBook for many years and we've watched them grow over the years. And customer service is downright, bar none, the best I've ever experienced. MassageBook was extremely easy, very helpful. If you had an issue, you could go online and just chat with them and get some help. They have a lot of information on their website, as well, to help out if you are stuck trying to do something. It's pretty simple to navigate. And I think maybe just because I've been with the company from day one, that we grew with them. So it was really nice. And they have just about everything. You can do gift certificates, you can track all your clients, you can track all of your employees. You can pretty much do anything you need to do with MassageBook. I'd suggest you check everything out. I think that it's super, super helpful to have SOAP notes. With most programs, you have to get another complete program system to do that. And I think the SOAP notes are not only substantial for you but in case you can't massage that person or take care of that person in some way, shape, or form, that the other person who does take over for you does have notes on that person so that they can make the client happy and comfortable. I think that's the most important thing.
