Accounting professionals: CPAs, bookkeepers, and accounting staff.
Document management solution designed for businesses of all sizes that helps extract information from bills, categorize data, snap & send papers, collaborate with bookkeepers, and more.
We appreciate how it flows and accomplishes so much with ease. There is definitely a learning curve, but that is common with any seriously good software.
All credibility was lost when we spent hours on calls that ended in frustration with never getting to actually demonstrate a signature capture.
I have always felt like they are a small business where every single person you talk with actually cares that you're happy with their product and able to use it to it's full potential.
Reports can be downloaded to Excel, but not in a table format as you would expect so that feature is completely useless. Timers lose track of start time if the software inadvertently is closed.
They are extremely knowledgeable, quick to help, comprehensive, incredibly patient, and will help you with whatever questions you have, no matter how many times you ask.
The implementation was beyond frustrating for me and my staff.
Conversion was a breeze, as the Mango team handled that for us. We have been extremely happy with the integrated payment system, which is truly greatly improved our collections.
The Message function is terrible, half the time the documents could not esign within the system in the middle of Tax Season which made using the software cumbersome.
The application offers ease of use and helps to become more paperless. This will be more and more important in the future and the QBO integration really helps as well.
Xero is a horrible company and Hubdoc has taken a dive with them. I left Xero accounting because of the poor customer service, and now I am looking for a new solution for Hubdoc.
They have a great fetching and integration program for documents. Their free training programs are great.
One negative feature is the inability to tag the bank accounts with the last four digits of the credit/debit card that was used so the Hubdoc can push directly to that bank account.
Overall this is a good entry level solution for automating the entry of your paperwork. As Xero include it with their standard subscriptions it is very cost effective.
They seem to have a problem with Bank of America's security forcing our clients to log in each month and verify their identity.
Useful tool in catch up projects to obtain pdf and csv files of bank and credit card statements. Cheque images and e-transfer details make reconciliation easy and perfect for backing up work.
Hubdoc is terrible and I wouldn't recommend them for anything.
Andrew S.: My name is Andrew. I'm the chief executive officer at a bookkeeping firm. We are basically a management and consultation firm that specializes in bookkeeping, where we have used Hubdoc in the past, and my personal experience, I'd rate it as a five. We use Hubdoc mainly for our clients that want to import their receipts. So we use it mostly for receipt management. We use it to link the receipts within QuickBooks. So we connect both programs together and basically that's what we use it for. What I like most about Hubdoc is I did some comparisons with other programs. So number one, it's affordable. Number two, they have a very nice mobile app. Number three, I also like the fact that you can have multiple logins, so therefore you may have... For example, we used it for a trucking company so the truck driver was able to use Hubdoc to record his receipts. The owner of the company was able to go in and see as well as we, during the books, were able to map those receipts to the customer's files. The only problem we had with Hubdoc was some of the receipts when they're imported, they were not properly mapped, so we had to go in and manually adjust probably the amounts and stuff like that. So it was a little tedious process. I know they did have a support system that was able to assist with this, but that was the only problem that we had with Hubdoc.
