Designed for small to midsize businesses, it is an OCR tool that helps extract texts from scanned images, edit documents and share files with customers via emails or social networks.
Great solution at any installation, good performance and a lot of Options Customers really like to use and need.
Random errors come up daily, and need to manually restart batches as a fix. Sometimes batches get locked and can't be unlocked from UI, then need to do a DB update to unlock the batch.
We have partnered with them for about five years at this point, and the improvements they've made to an already solid product have been really impressive.
Editing, updating and setting up changes is difficult and not user-friendly.
Once everything is installed, configured, it runs stable. The software's primary function does meet expectations, which is to classify documents given that good training images are provided.
Advance level training is not available as self-paced online. No certification for Basic Ephesoft Training and just completion.
This makes the application a good fit for a large variety of business needs.
I'm really struggling to think of anything of significance at this point.
The most interesting thing for me is that I can adjust the scan area of my selected document. I take a random image and make it clear with this awesome tool and share it.
While using the app , the ads start running over the screen making it frustrated for the users to scan.
The fact that we can apply different filters which best suit our need is awesome. It also supports sharing of the document to various other messenger platforms and email which is very useful.
Some times, the app gets stuck. There are ads coming frequently when using the app.
So my overall experience with is pretty good as I have been using it since my college up to now scanning my notes and documents and it's pretty convenient and easy to use.
I don't like that the company has to leave their imprint on the bottom of the picture to show that the image was taken by CamScanner.
I am happy with this app because it helps me in converting my notes written in the hard copy to the digitized form. It's very useful and handy when it comes to digitized documents.
I don't like that many times it may take up to 1 day to send a document from CamScanner to email. I think that this issue should be investigated.
Kelli D.: My name is Kelli. I'm the CCO at a small company, under 10 folks, and on a one to five, I've given CamScanner a full five. I use CamScanner for everything that I would need to scan, but because I don't carry around a scanner in my pocket, because they're huge, any document I need to scan, and it's very, very handy, because sometimes, if you just take a picture of a document, and don't use a scanning app, it'll get sent back to you like, "Oh, this is so obviously a picture, blah, blah, blah." So I have never prepared a document with CamScanner that anyone, even really kind of my picky clients, will just be like, "Oh, yeah, that's fine. Thanks." What I like most about CamScanner is the automatic, it makes the right angles for you, so even if you take the picture a little bit off of the document, it's like, "We can fix that for you," and it's so quick, and it works. It actually looks into the characters, and makes sure it's not cutting things off. So it's super handy. I feel like it's maybe 90% smarter than I am. I don't know if this is actually a room for improvement, but this is something definitely just as a warning to the end-user, is you have to, if you are doing a multiple, multiple page document, especially if you feel like your wifi is not great, or you're somewhere where you're just using it for cell, make sure you save it when you start, because I once scanned a 45-page document, and hadn't saved it, and lost it, because I didn't know how bad my wifi was. So always, when you start scanning, go ahead and click save.
