It has bee wonderful for our school and we have recommended it to all the other elementary schools in our district.
When you accidentally put the wrong number into the system, you cannot undo it and it sends a "false" notification to parents that their child was picked up because you cannot delete it.
We love the program and it's ease of use. The support is wonderful and we appreciate the check-ins.
If people don't utilize it from their end, we are stuck doing the leg work online. If Wifi is weak, the app is basically not functional.
I think it has been a great addition for a school of our size and I love the added procreation it provides for our children and their families.

PikMyKid made our after school pick-up move much more quickly and efficiently. Parents love the safety features and we love the ease of organized carpool.

Grades are not used, if email address is wrong there is no feedback that the email was not sent.
The ease of the system is great. I find the whole integration of buttons with the interface to provide a great experience for student and teacher alike.
Finally not being able to have attachments in the email was another problem for us as we often send documents to clients.
Customer service is superb and they ALWAYS find a solution for any problem your institution might have. It's also very affordable and they're continuously adding new useful features.
Customers sometimes have a hard time logging in.
Teach n Go is an excellent product and I would highly recommend it. The tech support is extremely helpful and I really appreciate that we can work together to improve all systems.
My students were used to writing their homework in their notebooks, so they thought it was difficult for them to find their homework on Teach n Go. Now, they got used to it.

Some of the things we used before Pikmykid were walkie-talkies, just calling into the classrooms and into the gym to get our students as cars pulled through. We utilized a Google Doc for our older kids and we just found that there's a lot of inconsistencies with both of those methods. And so when Pikmykid showed us what they were about, it seemed like a great fit. We originally chose Pikmykid because with COVID we needed to do social distancing and it allowed us to get kids from rooms all over the school. Even now past COVID times, we just love the simplicity of it and the ease of it, and so we've kept it on. Onboarding Pikmykid and getting our parents up and rolling with it actually went smoother than I anticipated. The QR codes that they provide for families to help them get connected to their own student on the app helped tremendously. And then we were able to download all of the important information like phone numbers and names right from our PowerSchool Storehouse of information. And so between that and the QR codes, we had very few families who struggled to connect and it went pretty smoothly. If you are thinking about using Pikmykid, I would say just give it a try. It sounds daunting at the beginning, but then once you make the plunge, it's been so beneficial to us and so much easier than I thought it would be. I really can't imagine not using it anymore.
