Sematext, a global products and services company, offers infrastructure and application performance monitoring and log management solution - Sematext Cloud
The quality and helpfulness of technical assistance is excellent. I love everything about the Pandora FMS workstation, especially the user interface.
The worst thing about Pandora it's the lack of some basic functionalities like other products offer like correlation of metrics and the horrible UX.
I love that even we are only trying this software and using the free version it works really well. It has saved time to our collaborators and made our job easier and better.
The general feeling that Pandora FMS transmits is of robustness, at no time do you have the feeling that something is missing or that some module can do something else.
The software is highly secure, reliable and customizable and has a user-friendly UI. Additionally, the price point is competitive with other system monitoring and management solutions.
For Debian/Ubuntu maybe a little tricky; the configuration interface maybe hard at glance because is for general purpose along all the program.
It's like "bring your own monitoring service", you set it up and you use it. So it only depends on you and that it's great if you know what you are doing and you want to personalize everything.
It's difficult to teach new people how to use and overlook the platform.
Sematext is very easy to navigate by providing a nice interface environment without complicated clutter. The documentation is also amazing.
Missing feature: Filtering the context view (e.g. if there is an exception, displaying its context works, but I cannot limit that context).
Sematext support was overall positive and they are super helpful when integrating with the tech stack.
Documentation missing for old agents - Ubuntu < 16. Agent once crashed - cause is still unknown.
Sematex has impressed us in recent months for its ability to deliver robust tools for analyzing and mining the information present in our logs.
At times the data showed up slightly delayed than our expectations, however it is not something that happened frequently enough to escalate the concern.
They are constantly working on the product and increasing their offerings. They offer customers the chance to trial new products and give feedback, which is fantastic.
The way accounts are set up, where you have to log in then "become" the account owner to see your logs is strange, and needs to be explained to each new user.
