Quip is a tool that can help any team work faster and smarter.
Bringing your team's work together. Create visibility into projects, workflows, and deadlines.
The employees at the company provide excellent recommendations, feedback and guidance. Awesome communication between users who are collaborating on the document, project or event.
Sometimes it is hard to undo your action for example by mistake if you delete anything in a doc, the normal undo command does not work.
I love quip as its the only good version controlled platform for taking notes that I have found in my industry experience of over 5 years. Its easy to create public/private versions.
I had to struggle to get the client to use the software as she and her team found the interface confusing and overwhelming in spots.
Quip has great integration, it's a great platform for project management and customer service is great.
Software and/or updates can sometimes be slow or laggy. Other than this, I can not think of any other problems we have ran into.
Best thing about this app is that it has a dark interface that allows flawless viewing also it supports all platforms.
It provides extremely limited options within files. If you try to ingest files from other sources it will not hold any formatting options.
I wish I had this program many years ago, when we used to have Palm Pilots. That was great back then, but evernote is truly awesome.
I would say that the worst thing it has, is the poor compatibility with other apps.
I love how great it is to help organize my brain. Whether it's notes, pictures or pdfs there is a place for everything.
With one integration partner, the functionality is useless. With the Redtail CRM, when integrating, the Redtail end is unable to limit the information linked in the way Salesforce did.
I love the longevity of Evernote, it is reliable and has been around for so long that I trust that they will continue to provide their services moving forward.
It takes forever to launch the software on desktop. Notes end up getting lost because adding them to notebooks is more complicated than it seems.
The website interface is easy for everyone to access. The icons and the colors are all very harmonious and wonderful.
The biggest downside might be the cost, which is relatively expensive compared to other collaboration/organization/project management tools.
Chris: Hi, I'm Chris. I'm a Content Strategist. I give Quip three out of five. For more reviews like this, click the link below. Before Quip, my team was largely using Outlook as a method of communication and collaboration. Quip's features helped us to improve our collaboration and working on projects at the same time. Some of the reasons why we chose Quip is because it works from the cloud. It allows us to add members to our team. We can assign permissions to them. We can collaborate in real time. We can also house internal documentation, such as style guides, all kinds of information that we want to keep within the team. Using Quip was very easy. Having worked with other applications, there was a lot of Quip's features that were very familiar to us. Being able to message with one another in chat, being able to share documents, being able to collaborate on those documents were all features that we enjoyed when we used Quip. For anyone considering Quip, I recommend making use of the documentation that Quip provides users so that you can better understand all of its features. One of the things that we discovered is that Quip has a lot of features to offer, and using that documentation that they provide made us aware of features that we wouldn't have known otherwise.
Dayna T.: My name is Dana. I'm the director of marketing and communications. I give Evernote a four out of five. And for more information, click below. I had TickTick. That's a great application for note taking if your notes are short and brief, but I needed something that allowed me to have more details. I chose Evernote for multiple reasons. Number one, because it has free features. Number two, it's extremely user friendly. Number three, it allowed me to have extremely detailed notes for tasks, which is what I need for my profession. It's very easy to get started with Evernote. They offer free features that you can dabble with and apply to your professional life, as well as to your personal life if you're a note taker and you like to be organized. My advice for anyone considering Evernote is to give it a try by downloading it from their website and taking it full advantage of all of their free features. If you're interested in getting to know this more, then that's when, of course, you dabble with the paid features, but the free features are definitely worth getting started with.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
