Excellent and very user friendly great addition to the company all staff find very easy to use really pleased.
That goes for several warnings. Some of them are only temporary (missed 2 updates, for example), but they still show up as alerts, even though they have gotten the last 10 updates.
Amazing feature set, top rate security and robustness. Has proven to be the best for our clients security needs.
Sometimes it can be to extreme when blocking, but that's why you pay for it to do.
Overall I am very happy with this product and confident of the protection it provides.
When an install goes wrong it can be difficult to remove and start open.
Excellent as protection highly recommended product, need to improve in reports, information details.
Portal and setup can be confusing with not too much concise and simple documentation.
It was a great time dealing with the application and the benefits of the antivirus application are much greater than the work involved in maintenance and updates on a regular basis.
Sometimes it will not remember the device and it will ask to authenticate again so Its loose tracking of machine name.
I like that this cloud managed solution works flawlessly. It has good reports and dashboards.
I dislike how expensive it is. I also dislike how many system resources it uses to run.
This software does make me feel better about having my computer seem secure and free of viruses so I do enjoy that.
It had the worst update "additional" app which worked for about 20% of time. It is heavy on resources.
Symantec performs well enough to qualify it as excellent software, so I'm happy to report that it's great for everyday use and facilitates fast performance and deployment.
We have tested this product and it failed our testing.
David: My name's David. I'm a pastor. Today we'll be reviewing Intercept X Endpoint, and I give it five stars. And for more reviews like this, click below. Before Intercept, we have about 30 or 35 work stations. It fluctuates here on our network. We're managing those individually. And you can imagine what a headache that would be. Intercept X Endpoint has allowed us to have secure work stations all over our campus, and one management point. That's huge. It saves me a lot of steps and a lot of pain and heartaches. Intercept X Endpoint was our choice. First of all because Sophos has such a great record and I've used Sophos for years. Their track record is great on protection. Intercept X Endpoint has user management, individual workstation management. I can see what's going on, on all those computers from one console. The console's great. That's the lifesaver of this thing. That's the biggest thing about our choice with that is the console and the console detail that it provides. Rolling it out to the organization, at times it's had challenges. More challenges that we had individually or internally than those that Intercept gave us. The help engine for Intercept is a little hard to navigate at times, the online help. But once you get into the groove of doing it, figure it out pretty quick and you can get it done. But considering Intercept X Endpoint, the recommendations that I would have would be evaluate your need. Intercept X Endpoint is not expensive when you look at the benefit that you receive, but you need to evaluate your need level. And that would, of course, dictate the level of protection that you license. Sophos has got such a great track record in history of virus protection and malware. I mean, you name it, they protect against it. They got hardware available that's outside of Intercept X Endpoint. It's a great organization. They will protect you. That's the things that I look for when I was evaluating these. Who can I rely on? Who will get the job done? Intercept X Endpoint gets it done.
Anshuman: Hi, my name is Anshuman, and I'm a security engineer. I would like to give Symantec Endpoint Protection three stars. For more details, click below. Why it's using Symantec Endpoint Protection? We considered McAfee antivirus as well. But the wide range of Semantic Suite of applications which spread across the Endpoint Protection Software, the Data Leakage Prevention Software, the Cloud Access Security Broker, and whatnot. The entire suite made us choose Symantec Endpoint Protection over McAfee. In addition, the overall protection plan offered by Symantec works much into our budget in comparison with that at McAfee. The biggest reason of choosing Symantec Endpoint Protection was its wide range of applications across the Symantec Suite. And it's very well-integrated environment. All the applications are very well connected to each other. At the same time, they are very well integrated into Splunk, which is our SIM. So overall, the ability of the applications to get us the needed information as a Security Engineer was amazing. It was pretty much easy to implement Symantec Endpoint Protection. All it needed was a server and the endpoint agents, which could be very easily deployed across the entire environment using the SCCM server. The endpoint agents communicated pretty well with the Symantec server and the server had capabilities for the administrators to go ahead and look at the different logs. Additionally, it was from the endpoint users perspective. It was not at all problematic because it never messed up with our work and it never made any performance issues on our machines. So Symantec Endpoint Protection has been a great tool for the environment that I have worked in. However, with time there have been some products like [CalCheck 00:01:55] that have come in and have become a market leader. I would personally recommend you to consider all these products before you go ahead and just purchase Semantic. And a lot depends on what your organization is looking for and what overall security posture of your organization looks like.
