Trados Studio is used by more translation professionals than any other tool on the market.
It supports all the different file formats you might need, works super well with the different languages, great APIs and integration with other services that we use.
Some features are missing: couldn't filter by keys having missing filename for some of the platforms.
All in all, the experience has been great. Thanks to the many integrations (from S3 to Github to Slack etc.) and solid documentation.
The only problem we've had is with User Permissions, users report not being able to see Languages but it's always because we haven't updated their permissions.
It's top in the class and pricing is very reasonable. Our translation team loves the product team and for them, it's ease of use and supportive UI that really helps you catch small mistakes.
Unsupported file formats. TM is not context based and not per language.

I found the Admin section bit confusing in the past but their team explained it quickly in the live chat.
Having said that, I found the software incredibly useful in improving quality and speed of translations. I hope to purchase it in the near future.
I have to say I hate the fact the in order to be able to work with terminology, you are required to purchase a separate – and costly – tool.
It has several useful functions, a good quality assurance process, it is easy to install and maintain.
The program remembers what the translator has already translated. This point of many is misleading.
I can reuse my TMs on any project i am working on, a very good feature. Navigation through the panels is easy and self-explanatory, saving projects and locating them is super easy.
It happened several times that I lost my job because the program crashed and I could not recovered.
I like the window/screen and feature disposition, ease of access to its features and the simplicity of it.
It is very difficult to learn how to use the software.
Veit G.: Hi, my name is Veit. I'm the manager of a translation company. We do technical translations for companies, and I'm here to review Trados Studio. And I would give this software three stars out of five. For translation, we use around, I would say, 15 products. It's mostly because our clients ask us to use these tools. It's not because we choose them. So we use, for example, XTM, we use Memsource, we use memoQ, we use Smartling. So these are the big tools. And then there are lots of proprietary tools which maybe our clients develop themselves. The biggest positive point about Trados Studio is that if you have Trados Studio, it's a tool our customers like, and it's likely that you get revenue from using this tool. So the tool has been on the market for over 30 years, and they have quite a big market share. And the tool is also quite sticky in terms of operational processes. So once a company, once a client has set up a process using Trados, they're unlikely to change that process. And so if the whole translation community is built around that tool, Trados Studio, if you have that tool, it's likely you can get a lot of business. The tool has been around for 30 years, and sometimes it feels like the tool hasn't gotten any cleverer; it just has only gotten bigger. It sometimes feels an accumulation of features. So I think the learning curve is quite steep, even more so for people that come from the language side. So translators, I think they're having quite a hard time. We work a lot with freelance translators, and judging from the questions we get, people are not reading actually the online help or using educational videos on YouTube to get acquainted with the tool. The biggest thing you should consider is the return of investment, really. You should consider, "Should I pay for the tool, which at the moment costs between €450 and €750?" And you should consider very, very closely whether you can make back this money from working for your customers. And you should also be ready to invest quite a lot of time in getting acquainted with a tool. So these are the two big questions.
