ESET Endpoint Security vs ThreatLocker: Which is a better fit?

Mark: Hi, my name is Mark. I'm the sales director and an MSP, and I would give ESET Endpoint Security a four out of five. We had a mixture before ESET, of sort of like Norton and McAfee and Symantec. It was sort of a mix match, and we wanted something to put everybody under. So that was why we rolled into ESET. And we had a good portal to manage all the end points from. Very good cost, as being one of the reasons why we chose ESET for as many end points as we were adding, along with a great product, great reporting. And like I said, a free portal to manage all the end points from. Was very easy, very easy. We placed our order, and next thing you know, within a day we had everything start moving on getting it set up and making sure it was on all the different machines we were adding it to. I think we may have even put it on servers at the time, I forget, but it was pretty easy getting everything rolled out. I would definitely give it a try. There's a lot of products out there that do pretty much the same thing. So it's a very competitive market, but ESET is very competitive in that market. It offers a very high quality product at a very low price.

So before ThreatLocker, we used to just rely on basically taking away the local admin permission, not allowing users to have local admin. And when you look at ThreatLocker today and how they've evolved, I'm so happy that I selected ThreatLocker a few years ago. Going into any new solution, you always worry about not having the engineers and the time to take on such a solution, but ThreatLocker's onboarding where you spend some time with their engineer, it just made it so easy. We deployed. We met with him. Then we had a review 30 days later to secure the systems and he explained everything through the unified audit logs. And it just seemed like a blink of an eye, he was already using ThreatLocker internally and we were so ready to go to market. My advice to those considering ThreatLocker is it does so much. Don't feel overwhelmed. Don't feel like it's going to be too noisy. You got to go into it one component at a time. Do like we did. We did our test lab, then we did our internal systems before we got our feet wet with it, before we were ready to start taking on our clients. So I think you have to have that type of approach, phase into it, and don't try to just do the whole thing. Have your appetizer first before you get to your entree.
