From setting up rank tracking to reviewing keyword suggestions it's very easy to use. Their customer support has also been fantastic and they seem very eager to help.
It can be misleading for clients when determining if they rank for a specific keyword and Semrush says ranking 2nd but it means the map pack with no details on where it is in the actual SERP.
Tons of keyword ideas, and their ranking ability is separated by easy, possible, hard and difficult. I love the ability to save my keywords to projects like post ideas.
There are too many "additional packages" you can purchase for ridiculous amounts of money.
SEMrush is a nice tool for digital marketing and analytics. The keyword tool is very helpful and one of the best parts of this system.
It's almost crazy to say, but there is so many things this software does, it's hard to focus on the right things at the right time for your business.
I love how I can make notations and change statuses in the tool to track progress. Support team is awesome.
The pricing can sometimes be ridiculous. I am a one many side-hustle "SEO Agency", and I am spending $100 bucks a month on the tool.
The ability to look at other news stations in our company across the state, region and even the country is a great asset to fin trending topics.
I can't find much to complain about. It's a bit costly and some of our teams can't afford it.
The real-time dashboard is far superior to GA and also the reporting structure sent to my email on my frequency of choice on a per-author basis is the best feature it has.
The downside is that the interface can be overwhelming at first and requires some time to get used to.
I like that I can see real time data that allows me to then determine the best course of action for distribution of content.
There is no way to freeze the data as far as I can tell. It can be a bit hard on the eyes with the data constantly changing.
Happy with how it's bolstered my online content and story generation. It's also critical to know how users are gained, so I can plan out my sharing on social media, etc.
I find the archival features a little difficult to get to grips with, whereas current content is simpler to harness.
Sam: Hi, my name's Sam. I'm the director of a small digital marketing company based in the UK, and I give Semrush five out of five. Before we started using Semrush, we used a platform called Hike SEO. It was perfect for us at the time as we were quite new to SEO services, but we moved past our area of expertise and we outgrew this initial platform that we're using. So we're looking for new service provider to use, and we decided to use Semrush. Semrush offers a range of tools which are essential for SEO, such as the backlinks, analytics, and keyword analysis. So to offer decent good level SEO services to customers, Semrush offers everything that a white label agency such as ourselves would need to offer. The onboarding process is very easy to set up client projects. All you need is their domain, URL, and then you can set up a lot of the tools very simply, such as the audit tools and the backlink analytics. We haven't used all of the integration tools such as the search console integrations, but all of those look very useful should you decide to go down that route. Semrush is perfect if you have quite a few client accounts and client websites. So we currently have 15, and it offers great value for money when split across those 15 accounts. So if you are managing SEO services for a range of customers, a range of features and tools that they offer does offer good value for money across a large portfolio. Although it could be quite expensive if you are just monitoring one website.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
