Very good software for monitoring things like server performance or any website performance. Good to operate from both mobile and desktop and customer support of this organisation is very good.
My quibbles are that we have received false alarms on occasion, sometimes caused by their server agents, which have been a little flakey sometimes. Also, the pricing can be confusing.
I love its dashboarding capabilities. And that the monitoring system itself keep track of historical data providing great insight on what is happening.
It is very hard to recover the password once the person who set up the service is no longer with the organization.
Overall we are very happy with this product and all the different options offered by it. We recommend it to any IT personnel.
When you get a phone call that a server of services is down. IT is some times hard to understand what the computer is saying.

As you have lots of settings available, some times you get puzzled were to configure it properly, for instance when setting up notifications groups/teams.
Nagios Core can do literally anything you need it to thanks to the amazing developer community and their ability to program custom addons. Need to monitor servers all over the world.
This application is very difficult to configure and its interface is terrible. D rather use another application.
It's very stable and easy to use once you understand it. Any dashboards with graphs/ trends will be very helpful.
The setup and installation is the main headache about this software. It must run on Linux and is very hard to configure unless you are very familiar with UNIX coding.
Having notifications and alerts for everything that is happening in your network is a great benefit to keep an edge over competitors.

A very good advantage of Nagios is that its code is open, which allows you to make changes and adjustments according to the needs you have in your network.
User interface (website) is not modern and for example visualize section is useless. You must manually distribute configs across your infrastructure.
