Price is great, and it makes scheduling / time clock management super easy. I have recommended to other restaurant owners, and definitely would again.
Correcting missed clock-ins / outs is brutal. Staff need to leave a note to the manager and then I have to interpret that note into the correction.
I love the scheduling and time and attendance features. I like the flexibility and the abilities of my team to control their own schedule and time off.
No option to put a reason why an employee is not working their normal scheduled day (PTO, bereavement, medical leave, etc.).
This program is well-designed, intuitive, visually appealing, and easy to use. The support staff are very helpful and friendly.
It may be weak internet signal, or just older aged employees not knowing how to use their phones. Some times employees have to download the app again to fix problems.
Homebase is simple to use and reliable. My team loves the communication features and loves that they can request time off.
There is no undo or go back for example if I accidentally change or delete something it is what it is.

WFM reporting not that accurate if there is no pay in timesheet, no show in employee attendance, no records can be found in report with WFM.

It is VERY painful working with their team sometimes as a problem solved creates another issue where most of the time you still need to pay extra money to solve it.

The Customer Service is really poor. I have been asking for this report that I used with the system that I used with the system I had used prior to Ceridian Dayforce.
Amy: I'm Amy. I'm the director of a child care center. We have about 30 employees and I rate Homebase a five out of five stars. Prior to Homebase, we did staffing manually, but I did research a lot of different companies trying to find companies that could do what I needed them to do to make staffing and time keeping a lot easier, and overall, Homebase had the best value for the features that were offered and ease of use. I went with Homebase primarily because they provided the tools that I needed to make staffing a lot easier and less stressful for my employees and myself, and because the pricing included a lot more than a lot of the other companies were providing. At the time that I actually started using Homebase, a lot of the staff members that I had were not very open to moving to a online app-type platform, but once we started using it and they realized how easy it was, it was super easy to transfer over to that type of system compared to the manual system we were using prior. I highly recommend giving Homebase a try. Over the years, I have ventured out just to see if there are other things that do work as well, and there's not, especially not for the price points. Even if you've come across a little bit of resistance from staff or other board members or whatever, I promise, you give it a try, you will never want to go back.

Using Dayforce helps keep track of when and who is showing up to each event. So when a brand ambassador is there, they will clock that time. When they leave, they clock that time. And any additional hours would also be clocked, including any type of market research like demographics, geographics, and the standard area of time that was used in the location of the event. Thing I like most about Dayforce, is that it's pretty easy to use. There's not a lot of training involved. And at the end of the year, you can simply go in and get your tax return. You wouldn't even need to print it, because you'll have it right there. The thing I like least about Dayforce, is it's too easily manipulated. So if you're using it on a mobile in a browser, if you go back, you would have to input all the information for a time card again. I find that really annoying. I feel like it should automatically save and it should be a little more user-friendly at this point. I have been using Dayforce for a really long time. And I think personally that it was easier to use before it became a huge brand.
