George C
Marketing Consultant
4.0

George: Hi, my name's George. I'm a marketing consultant. I give Fomo four out of five stars. For more reviews like this, click below. The client I was working with was looking to make a whole series of optimizations to their site, and they didn't have any live notifications in place at all, nothing. We made some optimizations to the cart and found that when we changed the checkout, we had a much improved rate of conversion. Then we started to think, "Okay, well what else can we do before someone gets to the checkout page?" We started to think that some social proof and like notifications would be really valuable. We decided to choose Fomo for two reasons. One, they offered a free trial, which was great. We wanted to see how it would work with the first few thousand impressions and see how the experience would go there. Secondly, we liked the fact that they weren't purely e-commerce based. A lot of these notification alternatives seemed a little bit disingenuous and they seemed very just straight e-commerce. What we wanted to do was give some slightly more subtle notifications that were more service-based than straight e-commerce focused. Implementing Fomo was really easy. We took a line of JavaScript code, and we put it into the head of our website. Then from there, the actual configuration panel inside of Fomo's application, we found simple. We were able to link it with our Google Analytics profile, and we did that with one click. That was a simple integration. Then to actually configure the notifications themselves, we started with the templates. We really liked a lot of the templates that you got inside of Fomo. Then we just customized them from there. If you're in the market to look at something to bolster social proof or to have like notifications, the thing that I would think about is, is there a way that you can apply it which is a little bit more creative? Obviously, we're used to seeing these kind of things in an e-commerce context, but in a service context, do you want the notification saying 15 people downloaded this white paper today? So I would think if I was looking to implement a tool like that, can you use it more creatively? I think if that's what you're looking to do, I think Fomo is the right choice because the templates and the triggers are very customizable and it's not just a pure integration with a cart or something. It's something which can be a lot more flexible if you're looking at a service-based business, for example.

Joel B
Pastor
5.0

Joel: Hi, my name is Joel. I'm the pastor of a growing church called Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Ajax, Ontario, and I give Divi a five out of five rating. We switched from using Squarespace to run our website platform. We were really trying to use something that was easy to navigate and edit on the fly without knowing a lot of backend code. So we ended up switching from Squarespace to Divi based on the cost. We chose Divi because there was, A, lot more cost savings. Squarespace was raising its prices to the point where it was getting too much to navigate on a monthly basis. And then, we loved the flexibility of Divi. It gave us a little bit more customization than we had with Squarespace. Onboarding with Divi was a little bit more of a curve, learning curve than it was with Squarespace. There was a little bit more of learning the how things work. Thankfully, we had someone walking us through it, so there was some great tutorials available online, which helped a lot. And also, we had an expert graphic designer who had used Divi before, and he helped us navigate some of the challenges that we had. So onboarding it was a little bit more laborious than it was with Squarespace, but the end result is better. My recommendation, if you're considering using Divi, is find someone who's used it before. They are super helpful in walking you through some of the learning curve issues. If you don't have that ability, really lean heavily into their training videos. Take the time. I know a lot of times you just want to get it up and get it going, but do take the time to invest in your learning the back end so that you can use it to its full extent.
